How did you find Media Portal? (1 Viewer)

The rats were abandoning ship over at Meedio and started posting alternatives.

Last year Toms Hardware did a XBMC review and they mentioned that it will be ported for PC users. I searched google and found the early MP homepage. It took several months before i put my HTPC from my working to my living room due to the early development stage, but since then, i'm very pleased. I used myHTPC before- a configuration nightmare!

Was browsing the net looking for something equal to MCE and found Media Portal.

Since then a devoted user of MP and MCE is gone for ever in my house.

XBMC Fanboy for a long while and whilst waiting for someone to get a usb TV tuner working with that (was on the cards apparently ) heard about and saw on the fornt page of xbox-scene the link to this site, waited for dvb support and here I am on board at 1.1.1.1

I browse from time to time through sourceforge and thats how I found MP. A very nice piece of software.

I was using Meedio, but was not satisfied. Then a friend told me about MP, I tested it, and I was hooked
