how to get comskip to work? (5 Viewers)

Hi Joker.
Did you get comskip working? If so was it to do with "rtsp streaming"?

I have the same issue on two 1.0.2 setups. Both are server&client machines. One is a new machine and comskip files are generated ok with valid data in them but the adds are not skipped, and the other was upgraded from a 1.0 RC2 which ran perfectly with comskip but at 1.0.2 not longer skips the adds.

Any else experiencing this? I have of course ticked the option to skip adds where comskip data is available in the configuration

Same sort of problem with comskip #71. It worked with Client & Server on same machine, but stopped when I moved server to new machine. I think if they are on same m/c something looks in the db and finds the tv recording on the local hd, and then it looks for a .txt file with the same name for the comskip data. If on different m/c, recording is played via RTSP, and it doesn't know about the comskip txt file. I am wondering if you can force the client to play recorded TV from the network share where both the .ts and .txt files are located? I think there is a variation of 1.0.2 that 'Disaster' (?) has posted that does this.
