How to implement a selfmade xml into BasicHome? (1 Viewer)

I wanted to create an extra button for my existing basichome menu, which should show only a window with certain text and overlay. I have extended the BasicHome with my own xml in the basichome editor. I can see the new button in MP but when I click on it, it tries to open and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong or do I need more than a xml file?

You need a plugin such that it can load the xml.

And how can I create that? With a compiler? Would it be difficult for a noob?
