How to make media portal reconize my tv tuner (1 Viewer)

I have a hauppauge 950Q tv tuner and the software bundled with this can see tv channels and record how do I get media portal to see these channels as well? When i go in media portal I just get a black screen

When I run tv server configuration I get a Psisdecd.dll you version has to many bugs. I assume I can just ignor this? Now when I installed media portal I choose to use media portal as my tv source. Is this the correct option to choose if I have a usb tv tuner? Also when I go to tv servers in server configuration I see my pc but no tv tuner there. Do I need to disable my other tv tuner service for this to work? thanks i'm just trying to get this to work didn't think it would be this difficult.

I'm guessing you are using Windows XP (not MCE). From the wiki:
"BDA / DVB hotfix

As outlined the MediaPortal Requirements , the BDA/DVB hotfix is essential for viewing digital TV broadcasts using either analog or digital TV cards. It is already included in roll up 2 of Windows MCE 2005, but for Windows XP you have to install it manually. It includes an updated psisdecd file (psisdecd.dll) . When installed correctly this enables multi TV card support using Windows XP (SP3).
All XP users should install this hotfix in any case. Often problems occur when you do not install the fix while using a single card, then later add an additional card.
Windows only officially provides the updated dll with MCE, so please consult the BDA/DVB hotfix forum thread for details and a link to the download."

Sorry, Yes I am using windows xp, thanks for the info I will look into the hotfix.
