Hey Micropolis thanks for the cool plug-in...

Strangely though I'm having trouble with the most recent incarnation. I use to have this working fine along side speedfan showing my temperatures inside mediaportal but now I get no temperature listings? Any idea...

Currently using the latest version... Think I was using 5.1 before I upgraded. Thanks

HTPCInfo plugin foe MediaPortal v0.6.1

keep getting this error. anyone else?

when i disable the plugin it goes away

Hi TOXIc,
the problem was discussed before a lot of times. When you get this error, your MediaPortal installation does not support a TVServer.
To solve the problem, please copy some libraries to your installation directory, for MediaPortal v1.0.2 see here and for v1.1.0 see here.
Hope that helps.

Cheers, Micropolis ;-)

Hi thesystemera,
this is strange, because the implementation logic for Speedfan values was not changed since v0.5.0. What says the diagnostic tool? Which values you can see inside MediaPortal?

Cheers, Micropolis ;-)

I know you're busy with some other parts of this plugin Micropolis, so I just want this as a record of my idea and maybe your thoughts on it, here goes;

It would be nice if the menu part of the plugin was somehow able to have sections. There's so much info to display it's crazy putting it all on 1 screen, so sections specific for tv maybe etc.
I know I can do this thru skinning too, with say displaying stuff with Control.HasFocus() for example. But that will have downsides, so ideally the plugin would do that.

Just another idea, Keep up the great work!

Hi joz, hi catavolt,
yes, that's a good idea. The plugin is growing in the last time, now we need more space to display all possible properties.
Please wait for the next major release, I think it is possible to implement this ;-)

Cheers, Micropolis

    Hi Micropolis,

cool plugin, looking forward to the next version! Could you add the option to display the disk usage with a progress bar instead of a gauge? I included a screenshot from a w7 gadget to show you what I mean:

    DiskUsage.PNG

    :D

    DieBagger:

That would be a nice addition imo! Then I can also drop the drive free space plugin cause this plugin will take care of that.
The gauges don't look to well in some skins. The default progressbar look of a skin would definetily fit in with all skins!

Ofcourse I could go looking for nicer gauges but I think a progressbar is even better.
As always, no pressure micropolis, see if you agree and if/when you want to implement it ;)

We're keeping you pretty busy with this plug ey, lol :)

    Hi DieBagger,
yes, the usage of a progress bar is possible instead of a gauge. For this, it is only required to change the pictures from the directory <skin>\Media\HTPCInfo.
You can make it for yourself (and post this pictures here) or I can create an example. Your uploaded pictures or my example will then part of the first HTPCInfo customization pack. If you would participate here, you are welcome.

EDIT: Or is your idea to have 3 different types (for CPU, Memory, Disk Space)?

    Cheers,
    Micropolis

I will try this out :D for explaining Micropolis

    -------EDIT------

tried it out just now on streamedMP, looks pretty nice, me like, see screenie.

    ------EDIT2------

I just noticed that the variable #HTPCInfo.Drive2FreeSpace doesn't hold the free space but the used space?! It's like that for every drive. The percentages of free space seem ok. The usedspace variable (in mbytes) does not seem to be set at all. Might have to do with the release I'm using though

    Hey Joz,
the problem with free space value is a know bug and is fixed with versions greater v0.6.1. An update with a lot of improved and new functionalities comes in the next days.
But also my last question from post #108 into your direction: Is it a good idea to have 3 different types (for CPU, Memory, Disk Space) or 2 selection options in the configuration dialog, where you can choose between the type (gauge/progress bar)? The last is my preferred solution.

    Cheers, Micropolis ;-)
