AW: HTPCInfo plugin for MediaPortal v1.0.1

i get no speefan readings in the plugin.
i use mediaportal 1.02 stable, with the zip-file from the first thread.
i also don t understund sensor-part of the manual:
------------------------------------------------
By default, SpeedFan reports the sensor
values depending on used hardware.

and how permits speedfan the readings to the plugin? does it use xap also on single-seat mp-installation? found no example for that;(

That
means for example, that not always the first
temperature value, which was reported from
SpeedFan, is the temperature value for your
CPU.

? get no readings at all!

To simplify the assignment to a
property, you can enter "speaking" names
here.

huh?

For example, if you enter the text "CPU" in
the first temperature field, you can use the
property #HTPCInfo.SensorTemperatureCPU
instead of #HTPCInfo.SensorTemperature0
later in your skin file.
-------------------------

what should i do with #HTPCInfo.SensorTemperatureCPU and the others?
where should i put them in?
in my skinfile? what? how? in speefand? where?
i don t understund what is meaned with that!

i have a single seat installation of mediaportal, by the way.

i hope that aynone can help me.

Greetings

parkuhr, have you installed Speedfan and is it up and running?
I think the documentation of the plugin is absolutely excellent and clearly understandable.
So why don´t you use a skinfile from a skin with working HTPCInfo instead of moaning around in a tone that neither this thread nor the plugin / the plugin designer deserves?
BTW: I was thinking about to delete your last post due to unqualified comments but decided to leave it as it is, so other readers of this thread may build up their own opinion about your comments ;)

parkuhr, have you installed Speedfan and is it up and running?

yes of course. speedfan works with my-speedfan-plugin and with the sysinfo-plugin. so i don t think its depending on speedfan!
and there aare also some readings i don t get. the most readings seems to be work.
but everything in the sensor-tab seems to be not working.

So why don´t you use a skinfile from a skin with working HTPCInfo instead of moaning

    i allready did that.

    instead of moaning around

sorry for that, but i spend yesterday about 5 hours or more to get this working. i read all instrcutions and stuff, but no explanation for the problem i have. sorry but i am also only a human...
besides i apologized me and more then that i can t do. it was nothing personalll!
incidentally its also not constructive to moan about moaning;) and btw it was no direct moaning. i just said with what i have problems. the formulating :"where the hell should i put..., was not meaned in a moaned or bad way and removed to avoid missunderstandings.
i like this plugin and the dev made a great work. i hope to get it completly working.

    update:
after spending a night doeing research, i found out, that i have to edit HTPCInfoOverview.xml, with the the "speaking names" from sensor-config of the tool. i used also the same names in speedfan.
screen is attached. i also have a config screen and the editet HTPCInfoOverview.xml attached.
now, i have comma, where before names like htpc.info-sensor.somehting was showeing.
maybe this is an indicator that i editet it in the right way.
but i still get no speedfan readings. the commas don t disapear;(
    also new logs attached.
more, i can t do from here.
i would be very glad if anyone can help;)

    Greetings

p.s. of course xap is turned on in speedfan and it als sems to work, becouse i get readings with other tools like myspeedfan or sysinfo.

Has any one noticed that HTPC Info causes artefacts with live and recorded television. Choppy picture with what look simular to interference related picture quality. Disable HTPC Info and problem disappears.

Using MP 1.1RC2 and Vista 32... Please tell me what logs are required...
