I was using an older version of HTPC Info with MP 1.2.2 and Speedfan and it was working fine for a long time. I just upgraded to MP 1.3 and HTPC Info 1.7, and I have two problems.

First, the safely remove drive function does not work. I have a usb drive plugged in and Windows recognizes it, but when I try to remove it with HTPC Info it says no devices found.

The other problem is that I can't get it to work with Speedfan. Take a look at the screenshot. Speedfan is running but HTPC Info Configuration will not recognize it. The "Detect Sensors" button doesn't work. However, it does seem to work with Open Hardware Monitor, though I would much rather use Speedfan as I always have.

I tried using the diagnostic tool as Caveman did in the post above but I get the same error. I tried downgrading to plugin version 1.6.1 and I still have the same problems.

I had to manualy add the speedfan items i wanted monitored.
For you that would be something like:
    Fan1
    Fan2
    Fan3
    GPU
    and so on :)
    Hope it works for you.

Thanks, I manually added GPU, Temp1, Core0 and HD1 and checked their checkboxes. Only the Core0 value showed up when I ran the plugin. Maybe the rest of the values would show up if I knew how. Could you tell me exactly what I need to put in the Sensor configuration? In particular I need to see the GPU temperature since that's the one which gets really hot sometimes.

As for the Remove Drive function not working, has anyone else experienced this?

I managed to get all the right values to display under temperatures and voltage. I unchecked the "Build skin property..." box, then I edited the HTPCInfo_overview.xml file by replacing stuff like "HTPCInfo.SensorTemperatureGPU" with "HTPCInfo.SensorTemperature0". After a bit of trial and error I got the values to display correctly in the right places.

Unfortunately the remove drive function still does not work. I can't remove my drives, they're stuck forever!

please find at the first post of this thread and in our plugin repository an updated version of HTPCInfo. This update was required to fix the remove USB drive functionality reported by @2.0.

Note: in case you want install this update and you use WorldWeather and/or WorldClock, please download and install updated versions of mentioned plugins immediately.
