As we currently are talking about problems with akas of movies, i got one too ;p.
    My settings are:

Use Original title from Movie: OFF (force English)
    Add the foregn title: ON
Start the title with foreign one first: ON

So what i now get is "Foreign (English)" or, just "English" which is what i want. However on some Movies (non foreign) i still get two titles. Often showing an alternate spelling of the title, or an alternate version etc.

    Examples:
    12 Rounds (Twelve Rounds)
At http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1160368/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_dt_dt#akas it shows that "12 Rounds" is the "USA (original title)" and "Twelve Rounds" is "International (English title)"

28 Days Later... (29 Days Later)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0289043/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_dt_dt#akas shows "28 Days Later..." as "UK (original title)" and "29 Days Later" as "USA (longer version)"

Battle Los Angeles (World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1217613/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_dt_dt#akas "USA (original title)" and (wait for it) "Belgium (imdb display title) / Denmark (imdb display title) / Finland (imdb display title) / France (imdb display title) / Germany (imdb display title) / International (promotional title) (English title) / Netherlands (imdb display title) / Norway (imdb display title) / Sweden (imdb display title)"

Got more examples if you need them ;p.
Please tell me if you need any logs, or html codes (im from germany) or whatever ;).

This is unfortunate side effect of IMDb changing their website.

IMDb does not provide me with any type of language information as to what the title is in.

So I came up with a relative complex method to deduct as accurate as possible what the title language is by looking at the country+language the movie was produced in. A movie made in USA with English spoken language is bound to have an 'English' title.

The problem is that now IMDb uses their new (censored) system in which users from around the world get different results.

So now a 'title' can mean:
    1. English title
    2. English title translated into one of the AKA titles
    3. Original English title
    4. New English title
    5. Original non-English title
    6. Original non-English title translated
    7. (whatever else they keep coming up with to irritate me )
I do however have a few new ideas to detect what language the title is in, but still have to code up a solution for that.

It is weird indeed to see "Foreign title (English title)" appear with two English titles, but that is the unfortunate side effect that right now there is no automatic solution for. A manual solution to at least make it work for you right now would be to add the movies that go wrong to your "Rename dBase IMDb+ Scraper (Custom).xml" file (instructions on syntax inside). Once added you can refresh the movie inside MovPic or use IMDb+ plugin method. Keep in mind that MovPic only loads the list of titles once during startup, so you have to restart MediaPortal to see the updated results inside the list (but when highlighted it does show new title)

To locate the file (which you can just edit with notepad) = Start (button/screen) -> All Programs -> Team MediaPortal -> MediaPortal -> "User Files" -> "IMDb+" folder -> right click file and select 'edit' or "open with...' to use notepad.

And if fortune is upon me I will find some free time one of these days to rewrite the entire title detection system

Just done but it dos'nt work.
The strange thing is that it confirms that the update has just occurred, but maintains the version 4.7.6.

    ...

Let me know how it goes.

Done and worse then before :'(

    this is the result

...and if i delete the v4.3.8. scraper from "Movie Details Data Sources" i can't no longer get in the info tab of IMDB+ inside MediaPortal (the one attached in this post).
Could you pass me the link of the only scraper to try to add it manually in the movipic sources?

Darnit, looks like I made a mistake somewhere and MovPic doesn't accept the script anymore, eventhough there are no XML syntax errors.

Will look into it, and release v4.7.9 shortly

    Hi again RoChess,

Sorry to bother you but it looks like the option to "Remove Roman Numeral From First Movie" may be broken.

I've tried sending a couple of the movies back to the MovPic importer but when they're re-added the Roman Numeral is still there.

Example movie and settings attached. Babe this time! Feels like my movie library is completely overrun by the kids :D .

    Sorry if I've missed something.

    Cheers,

    Wo0zy.
