    Scraper script v4.9.21 released

    - New Amazon/IMDb style forces me to add check for empty title situations

    This should fix "(Title)" situations

    Scraper script v4.9.22 released

    - Fixed AKA regexp to swap country/title and added "(promotional title)" to the blacklist

Oversight on the alternate title part, it was using the country as title as I forgot to edit that along with all the English title detection expressions I adjusted.

Blacklisting the term "(promotional title)" when it relates to English titles should help in obtaining the correct one.

I've also gone ahead and added an extra IMDb+ option that allows the IMDb+ scraper-script to add the IMDb HTML sources inside the movingpictures.log file. Will add this as an easy configurable option into IMDb+ plugin later when I finally get around to fix that mess, but for the time being any technical adapt user that helps me out fixing IMDb+ issues can manually enable it for the time being.

To do so: Start Button/Screen -> All Programs -> Team MediaPortal -> MediaPortal -> "User Files" -> open "IMDb+" folder -> open "Options IMDb+ Scraper.xml" with your favorite editor, say notepad, and add:

    <set id="19" name="global_options_debug_imdb_sources" value="true" />
This will add all the IMDb HTML sources into the movingpictures.log file, so that I don't have to ask for those seperate anymore. Be sure to disable this back to 'false' after you are done helping me debug, because it adds an enourmous amount of data to the log file. Also please ZIP up any movingpictures.log file using this option when you attach it to a forum thread.

Damn Ron, you seem to be busy!!

Just wanted to give you a big (y) for the work :) It's those 'tiny' things that you hardly notice because you get SO used to them, until they're gone... that makes playing with MediaPortal so so nice :D

I have always enjoyed this plugin as it takes the work out of changing sort names for me. I seem to be having an issue with the script auto-update though. Somehow I ended up with 3.2.4 and cannot get it to update to the newest version, and so am unable to add new movies with this script due to the IMDB changes that had happened some time ago. I have tried on 1.4 and 1.3 with no luck. The script does say it has checked for an update, but it seems it never downloads one. I am wondering if it would be possible to get an updated extension with a newer script? Also what might be causing my issue, and what documentation would you need to find out?

This has happened to a few people at rare occasions. No idea what is causing it. Send me a zipped version of your DB3 file and I will correct it for ya (it's an easy modification to the `scripts` table. At least then you can enjoy IMDb+ at short notice, because a new MPEI will be a while longer.

I only wish this was implemented in to myVideos - it's the one killer feature IMHO

    lol

I'm back from the work conference, have to catch up on everything first, but finishing my new HTPC with MediaPortal 1.4 might still happen this month. Then I can have a look at MyVideos methods later, see if I can adapt IMDb+ to also work for that one. First priority will be a new MPEI for IMDb+ with the new features, but at least then I will have everything ready.

    Hi RoChess,
do you remember the problem with foreign language support, described here:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...mdb-scraper-v4-9-22.98978/page-14#post-970672

Will foreign language be supported in the near future again? :)

Your screenshot show off the expected behaviour. Search-node (green circle) will find raw IMDb title, and details-node (circle + checkmark) will correct this.

It is fixed now that all non-USA users get English title again. The problem that does still exist is the detection of 'original title' for non-USA users, so that you can do "English title (original title)" or reversed. Still have to work on that, but hopefully I can find some free time soon to do so.
