i also tried to find the imon logs, and the ir server log, but i als could not find it. where can i locate them? its not in the usual log folder)
what i did:
followed all the steps. note: when i try to enable the displayplugin i get an error (something like cannot bind the controscreensaver fot datacource ) it is in dutch srry)
i can continue, but when i press test display, it doesn't work.
fired up irss
fired up mediaportal
when mp is up and running, the lcd doesn't work and the remote navigate's in mouse mode. it is not possible to change to keyboard mode, neither does the other buttons work.
the lcd also doesn't work.
got my hope's up for al while, but now there down again
Exactly same problem you described over here! Including the error message.
I didn't have searched for logs yet but if they are not in the default location(s) I got no idea, too.
I hope there will be a working solution someday.
The default Minidisplay and my Imon PAD is working really fine but this would be the special note

perhaps you can post your errormessage here - cause this one would be in german and not in dutch so i can try to find out what went wrong for you both - it would be nice to know which Windowsversion you use.
(little note: i use qwerty as keyboard layout. Apperently the numeric buttons on the remote dont work in azerty mode anyone had a similar problem?)
I tried several ways to get the remote working in the past. Now i use a plugint called shortcut'r and qwerty as layout it works fine exept for the vfd. I tried disabling shortcut'r and tried the steps again, but it's hopeless. I could try to translate the error to english. Will post it in a moment.
so when you enable the minidisplay plugin with the new dll you get the following error message as soon as you press config
error:
mediaportal - configuration
there is an unhandled exception occurred in the application. If you click Continue, this error is ignored and the application further. If you click Exit, the application closes immediately.
can not bind to the property or column data source for the Screensaver Control
Parameter name: data member
you can press details, continue and exit
if you press continue the configurator opens, but testing the display doesn't work.
when you open details in the error screen you get a lot of info from a JIT faultfinder or something (just in time)
i copied i think the important part of the error detail (bij is translated as "by" or "with" or "in")
