    Whats the advantage of using IRSS with your patch vs' just using imon with keystrokes?

    Is it possible to have the VFD and the IPAD remote working without any imon software running?

    I followed your suggestions, and it remote works without imon software running.
    However I am having a problem with minidisplay plugin.
    XP SP3
    Fresh install MP 1.0.2
    Latest version imon installed (and then removed from startup)
    Your IRSS with modified minidisplay+mpcontrol.zip + your settings
    When I press config for minidisplay plugin i get the following error

    I am able to click continue and can still setup the minidisplay, but when i test i get nothing displayed.
    Also i set the plugin to USB and save, but when i re-run config plugin i get the same error, and it resets back to LPT1 port.

    if i edit minidisplay.xml i see port=378, which i assume is LPT1?
    What should i change this for usb?

    Also - Does anyone have an original non modified minidisplaylibrary.dll that i can revert back to?

    EDIT: I reverted back to original 1.0.2 minidisplaylibrary.dll and it is working fine, so users with silverstone LC16-M imon vfd + MP1.0.2 maybe shouldn't use your modified minidisplaylibary.dll

    So it all works, nice to be rid of imon software, however the keys arn't responsive enough in mediaportal.
    The problem is with IRSS, I used the translator service to map the 0 remote key to send a '0'
    If I double tap the key i only get one zero, there is also a delay of about 500ms before the 0 appears in notepad.
    I tried adjusting the hold delay and repeat delay but it is still no where near as snappy as using the imon software.
    I also tried increasing the service priority and that didn't help either.

    EDIT: i think i found problem.

    I had the IRSS service running. I also had IRSS tray icon.
    By default they seem to both run.
    When I removed the IRSS program running in the system tray (IRSS Configuration) and left the service running the remote control suddenly became really quick.
    under msconfig / services.msc i see that both programs are loaded via default installation.

    normally you select in the installation if you want to run it as service or app - perhaps it was a leftover from last installation.

    Check carefully the running processes with TaskManager. One should be named "IR Server" and one "IR Server Configuration".

    They should be both active and not interfeer.
