IMON support (4 Viewers)

Hi guys,

I'm realy tired of trying to make this work. I have Silverstone LC16 case with imon VFD (0x80 firmware) Imon manager 7.62.0721. I'm using Harmony 525 configured as Imon Pad so far. I was never able to get VFD to work with MP. Miniplugin breaks the remote signal, the other one I tried was mp2imon also with no success. I'm using MP 1.0.2.0

So i thought I'd try IRSS. I installed the latest as a server, checked Imon USB in Setup and left other values as defaults. However remote doesn't work at all.

Any clues?

Crystal ball broken, and seems they won't repair it... so logs would help !

Hey thanks for fast reply. About being tired... I didn't want to sound negative but I realy am tired. Been trying to fix this for long time now. You guys are great though so sorry about that. I know how software dev is since i'm also working in one, on a completely different field though.

Ok got it working now with MCE. But i miss the interaction with windows like moving a mouse or navigating menus with remote. Is this possible with IRSS and if yes, how?

Use this zip: binaryreplacementfor1.1.0.zip

Do the following - Backup all Files you replace:
1.) Stop IRSS
2.) Replace Imon USB Receivers.dll in the IRSS Folder
3.) in the MP process Folder Replace IrssComms, MPControlPlugin, MPUtils.dll
4.) Replace the MiniDisplayLibrary.dll in the MP Main folder
5.) Place MPControlPlugin.xml in the MP Data Subfolder Input... (don't know the whole name)
6.) Start IRSS

7.) in IRSS you have to check handle keyboard and uncheck Abstract Remote MAP
8.) in MP Configuration - configure MPControlplugin - delete the abstract MAP and add the Imon PAD Map

That's all.

I use it with non HID Imon PAD and with HID Imon PAD - both working fine.

Hi i tried your patch, but unable to use the remote as a keyboard. Actually i don't think it has something to do with your patch, but something with iMON. If the config is the to MCE remote - it works. But the imon pad works as well. This also happens when IRSS is closed(incl. service). I had IMON disabled from startup in "msconfig". Maybe a process from imon is still running... But i don't know.

Some questions:
1.) Do you have a HID device or not?
2.) Could you please post your mediaportal.log after you've done the folllowing:
- start MP
- press enter on imon pad
- close MP

Actually i don't think it's your patch fault. Because I think irss doesn't control my imon pad. If irss was totally closed the remote still responded. It shouldn't right?
So .. i really don't know. Maybe something wrong with the way imon/irss works...

I've added the logs.
