In the Mini-Display plug-in configuration, in the dropdown, it always refered to IMON 8.01.0419. That is why I asked if anyone has that version.

It refers to >8.01.0419 (i.e. greater than 8.01.0419).

Maybe I am doing something wrong.....

Possibly

If you are using Windows 7 or Vista and using a VFD (rather then an LCD), you have to run both iMon and MP Config as Administrator during setup to get it to work - see post 65 of this thread.

Managed to get it working

Contrary to previous sessions, the setting for FrontView needs to be Automatic instead of Never. That what I was missing .

To all who contributed. Thanks for your great work.

Now that I have managed to get this working on my system, I have a couple of requests to make, if I may.

1. When you scroll in MovingPictures on a film name which does not fit the LCD window, this scrolls continuously, i.e. when last character of film name is displayed, a space, dash space is displayed and the first letter and so forth keep on scrolling. Can this feature be adapted when displaying details during playback?
2. Can a feature to alternate between line 1 and line 2 be added together with the existing choice between the 2?
3. Can the MediaPortal logo be displayed when the idle message containing the word "MediaPortal" is displayed?

Hi All,

I am eagerly awaiting my Antect Fusion Remote case, so I guess I better ask before it gets here: Can I use this version of the minidisplay driver with MP 1.2.1? Esp. since it needs to overwrite an existing dll of the MP installation.

No, the Antec has no VFD unfortunately.

That's true... but the plugin is for LCD also... and it work on my case (Antec Fusion Remote Black). My case is from 2008... but that should not make any difference, or?

No on the first page it says: "Thanks to Cinnabuns (see post #65) the driver supports LCD displays now as well."

So Mr. mbuzina just read the instructions on the first page...

Yes! I'm running MP 1.2.1.0 (to be correct) with this plugin, and everything works like a charm
This is technically not a plugin, since you replace a DLL file that comes with MP from the start.
Why it's not backed in the MP 1.2.1... I actually don't know!?!
I have seen the question before in this thread. But I don't think it has been answered!

I was not aware that the internal plugins are not version checked. Since they use the same set of methods I thought they were managed the same, but obviously not.
