I have to run 2.0 RC1 since it is the only version that still supports overlay which I need to use to get a decent TV picture. Can you install the lasest stable patches to RC1 - or will it screw everything up?

What's stopping you using VMR9 ?

Anything wecan do to help.

Well worth it, for all the "new" bits in MP.

When using VMR9 I get a very fuzzy picture and things like cartoons are unwatchable (during fast motion images leave a trail (like the mouse pointer does on windows when you turn on the tail option)). It drives me nuts! I started another thread on this but got very little help (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?p=78606#post78606). Any help would be greatly appreciated since I agree that the "new bits" a worth it.

I answered to you thread there. Please continue discussion about that support problem there, not in this thread.

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...
