Hi CPP2005 an other members,

I have question maybe its dumb for you but really I do not know how to install MPC-HC subtitle's engine in Media Portal. I found this as very usefull features since its not breking up DXVA. So my question is what do I need to do to make it work. There are too many files in the game (mpc-hc_subs_Src.zip, mp_Src.zip, MPC subs engine - Binaries for MP 1.0.2.rar). My goal is just to activate this so i can have subtitles in Media Portal. And another thing, after installation (that somebody will explain to me:) does subtitles load automaticaly if its in same folder with AVI file with same name.

Kind regards,

The option to use MPC-HC subs appears as a dropdown in the 1.1 build - MP Configuration, Videos, Subtitle tab. Are you running 1.0.2 or 1.1? Yes, subtitles will load automatically.

however you don't have to upgrade, you can stay with MP1.0.2 and have integrated subtitles
    backup your mediaportal directory
    download MP1.0.2 binary.rar file
then copy those files into the mediaportal directory, overwriting the original files
    now you have subtitles

(I have done this and it works great!)

PS - yes, you should rename the subtitle file (.srt) to the same filename as the .avi

(Press L while video is playing to enable subtitles)

Will be there support for BlueRay (S_HDMV/PGS) subtitles?

I think haali splitter doesn't support those? And currently MP doesn't support stream switching with MPC-HC splitter(s).

No problem on splitter side, Haali see these subtitles.

Can you get those to work in MPC-HC with using haali splitter? If yes, then it sounds like

    a) MP's code is buggy
    b) MPC-HC's subtitle engine didn't support PGS subtitles in that version when it was integrated to MP
