Are you still planning to support ForTheRecord at some point? I have now switched over entirely because its such an improvement over the regular scheduler.

I would gladly try out the transcode settings on my iPhone (Edge and 3G) as soon as I can use this with ForTheRecord - otherwise I'll have nothing to view ;)

Yes - I will be having a look at 4TheRecord at some point.

Great, I'm really looking forward to it :)

OK tried setting my transcode settings as 128k for video and 64k for audio and the file size still seems pretty huge to me to try and stream via 3g, so much though that it doesn't even start streaming. Also since updating my iphone to 2.2 logging on is troublesome, as by default to makes the A in the admin username a capital, so you have to type it, then backspace and then click shift to un-capitalise it.

I leave settings as default and streaming over 3g is great! Takes about 30-40seconds to start then it's flawless. Absolutely love it!

The capital A given by 2.2 f/w was annoying so as Cheezey said I just re-created a user with capital A, stopped me getting annoyed haha!

Once this thing can do transcoding on the fly of live streams it will be absolutely amazing!!!

Hats off to you Cheezey mate - fantastic plugin!! :D

I wonder how O2 will like all this streaming of video? ;)

Im waiting for them getting b1tchy about it then they can shove the contract where the sun dont shine! lol!

To be honest though, im not sure they will complain - im sure their super 3g network they keep banging on about can cope ;)

Unlimited data....

Doesnt it say in T&C that it doesnt include streaming of unsupported video? I.e anything bar youtube?

"All usage must be for your private, personal and non-commercial purposes.
You may not use your SIM Card in any other device or use your SIM Card or iPhone to allow the continuous streaming of any audio / video content, enable P2P or file sharing or use them in such a way that adversely impacts the service to other O2 customers. If O2 reasonably suspect you are not acting in accordance with this policy O2 reserves the right to impose further charges or disconnect your tariff at any time, having attempted to contact you first. "

Source: iPhone - Terms & Conditions - O2

As always although we have unlimited data then they could get touchy if they reckon all this streaming is affecting their network.

They only gave unlimited data as I think they realized most people wouldn't go over 200 - 300MB a month. So if we all start streaming hundreds of MB of TV Recordings they may notice ;)

In about 2.5 months I've received over 350meg, but I'm not sure if that's including wifi. I'm assuming that is only for 3g/edge data etc.

Im pretty sure its only non-Wifi data. Im amazed at how little data is used - i look at my useage and expect it to be way higher!

    2.1.1 released

    2.1.1 updates include

    * Web - username is no longer case sensitive
    * Web - added TV server status screens
    * Web - added a version number on the about screen
    * TV plugin - fixed some logging text
    * TV client - moved to the correct folder so the shortcut works (duh)
    * Installer - backs up & restores user database to maintain user accounts between releases

The TV Server status screen include card status (you can see who's watching what), service status (admin users have the facility to restart the TVService) and disk status (selecting the disk will take you to a delete multi recording screen which is loaded with recordings stored on that selected disk).

The installer has been updated to backup the user db when uninstalled and to restore it if installed *but* if you want to maintain your user db for this release still backup the file %instdir%\ipimp\aspx\app_data\ipimp.db then restore it after re-installing.

    Enjoy....

I found the 3g streaming works fine if you have full signal, I think I was having such a bad time with it was due to my building at work being pretty crap for signal in most places.
