You should type in the MAC address with '-' as a separator rather than ':'

Is there any firewall blocking the communication between your server and this client?

Can you attach your mediaportal.log from the client you are trying to connect to.

OK. Now it works. But when the PC is in Standby and I clikc on MPClients on my iPod nothing happens. I cannot click on the Client and WOL. The MAC Adress have now - not :

Hi,
I found three issues:

- myVideo is not showing anything (yes, server and client is running... )
- TVServer status never worked for me also in other versions, it always shows "unknown"
- Messages do not pop-up in MP ( do I need a special skin xml etc?)

Maybe a nice future feature:
- kick active client by click on the active stream/Card....?

The MyVideos part reads your mediaportal movies database used by the My Videos plugin. Is your database populated? If you use the My Films or Moving Puctures pluggins then those videos won't show.

The messaging part does not require any additinal skin files. Can you post your mediaportal.log file , that should contain some information.

I am just curious, would it be possible to somehow restart the entire PC through iPiMP?

Hi, I am loving this app, all the features are brilliant!! One question though, how do you get the logo's to show in the tv guide? I can only see boxed question marks??

The installer asks you for the path to the TV logos, it adds that path as an alias in your iPiMP.conf in C:\Program Files\iPiMP\apache\conf - look in there at lines 44 & 54.

Mines looks like this...

line 44:   Alias /TVLogos "C:/ProgramData/Team MediaPortal/MediaPortal/thumbs/tv/logos"


line 54:  <Directory "C:/ProgramData/Team MediaPortal/MediaPortal/thumbs/tv/logos">

My logos are in that directory and my config is configured the same, my Media Portal EPG displays them.

If I view the iPiMP page through google chrome browser the the web page expects the logo's at:-

http://media-pc/TVLogos/Sky Premiere.png etc..


I also have a problem transcoding recorded programs, the transcode fails as soon as I start it.

Transcoding is not running.
Last time it started at 02/02/2009 20:36:04
and finished at 02/02/2009 20:36:19
This task failed.

I have the default parameters in FFMPEG settings.

I'm running on Vista if that makes a difference?

I must say though, I was thoroughly boring my wife to death yesterday, making exited little chuckles to myslef when playing with the features!!

If the streaming functionality of TV and music comes to fruition she wouldn't hear the end of it from me!!!

I have the same problem when i try to transcoding as niblet, I upload my error file.
I found one thing, if I chose the save path in the installer the path ends up like x:/xxxx\ instead of x:\xxx\
But it did not make any deferens the “fail” persist.

My logos are .JPG and it's looking for .PNG's

I still can't transcode.
