AW: iPhone interface for MediaPortal (iPiMP) - 4.1.0

Hi, are there any experience with streaming to blackberry devices? I am searching for a way to share my mp3s and video to my blackberry via LAN.

regards

Re: iPhone interface for MediaPortal (iPiMP) - 4.1.0

Hello Cheezey,

Just wanted to say I've got iPimp working again. There are two apache servers running on my system now, not the most elegant way, but it works. It took me a little while though, because I used to use the 'TV gemist' plugin for which I had to set my MP musicplayer to 'internal ddshow player'.
With the internal player I get a fubar message (also for video) using iPiMP to play audio/video. (could see my TV guide, musicdatabase, etc though)

After setting the musicplayer to BASS player everythings works perfectly! I looked around a bit, but couldn't find this mentioned in on the wiki, is that right? If so: perhaps something to mention?

Brilliant app, I love it.

leviathan - I haven't heard of any Blackberry streaming add-ons. iPiMP does not offer this functionality yet either.

bhengeveld - Thanks for the feedback! I know running multiple Apache's isn't the best solution, when I get some time I'll try to document the process to get iPiMP running with an existing Apache install.

As for the issue using 'internal ddshow player' - can you send the actual FUBAR stacktrace?

Hello Cheezey.

Right now my gf is watching some Dutch show, so no changes in MP for tonight. But I will get back on that to you asap. Would love to see your Apache how-to, but can imagine there are more urgent needs. (for instance a customizable layout of the menu's ? :D )

I havent checked the apache config of iPiMP jet, but apache should be modular.
Just create a new virtual host listening either on a different port or on a different hostname.
If windows folder structure matches the unix one, just place a config file in apache2/conf.d/ and you're good to go.

Just my 2 cents.

You dont have to installl app on iphone. Only on PC. When you have done this go to safari and enter the ip from your Mediacenter

Hello Cheezey,

Thanks again for all the help, setting up iPiMP :D.

So I getting slaphappy and ask for some add on :D.
The TV program, where you schedule programs gives an excellent overview what’s running on TV. It would be nice if you could add a play button for direct access to the TV channel (same feature as in EPG view inside MP, where you can select play or record).

I use iPiMP also as “local” remote control on my touch screen (Zalman HD 160XT) using dual screen with different resolutions. It’s the best solutions for a touch screen interface I saw so far.
Q: Is it possible to directly access the remote panel and to skip the log on? Btw. skipping the log on would be also a nice option for my I-Pod touch.

In general I believe that accessing MP with a web interface is a more general solution as using “local” screens. (see my post: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/fernbedienung-tastatur-ir-465/mp-via-netbook-notebook-fernbedienen-78357/index2.html#post587472)

Greetings
Peter

Re: iPhone interface for MediaPortal (iPiMP) - 4.1.0

Quick question: I have moved my transcode directory from C:\iPMP to D:\iPMP. I changed the two references to this directory in iPimp.cfg (I think that's the filename) in the Apached directory, but my already-converted recordings still aren't recognized as converted. And transcoding again fails becuase the filename already exists.

What does it take to move the transcode directory after iPMP is already configured?

Thanks-
Jason
