I read the wiki, but I am still not sure.

In MP Configuration I defined the video and music folders. Is that meant by importing ? Or do I have to import the folders anywhere else ? The strange thing is, that I see SOME videos but not the rest in the same directory.

Launch MediaPortal configuration....

Videos -> Video Database -> Scan -> Update Database From Selected Shares

Great, when i wait some minutes the stream works, on Ipad and Android too.
With the ffmpg i don´t know what i must change, but i´ll loocking for the discussion and then i try it.
The problem is, that may my PC-Server is to smal for this (Acer Revo 3610 with Atom 230 Dual Core 1,6Ghz) i think.

Hi Cheezy,

I've had a MP crash problem that I have tracked down to the MP Client Controller plugin. With it disabled, my system is completely stable. With it enabled, the system is crashing at least once a day. It's usually down in the morning, and I suspect it happens mostly in the evening when the system resumes from standby, however, it has occurred at other times as well.

The MP log below shows a crash after resume.

It certainly looks like a problem with accessing a socket. At first I thought it might be to do with the workaround for the URL (TCP port) reservation problem described here:

...but I've applied the workaround as described and the problem still persists.

Any suggestions what try next?

Thanks Cheezy. I've installed the updated plugin and re-enabled it. Will see how it goes for the next couple of days.

this looks amazing but i dont see an idiots guide on how to use it. i have 2 android devices. one with 2.2 and flash and one with 2.1 that should be able to play some flash. i have a few questions.

1) is this http based and accessible through the browser? over 3G?

2) is there a way to change the channel that the server is broadcasting in the case of live tv streaming?

im new to the forum and didnt find much with the search function. sorry if it was already covered.

Cheezy, i was watching this plugin for a while back, but somehow i lost track of it. Took a look again yesterday and there are some great improvements, so job well done in the first place

But it ain't working how it's supposed to here.
I checked the Wiki, installed like it says and i can stream TV perfectly. I can also enter TV Series & MovingPictures, i can start a serie, but the only 2 buttons below the 'summery' are Refresh & Remote. No way to get the picture on my iPhone. My MovingPictures dB only contains Blu-ray movies, am i correct that .m2ts isn't supported?

I checked the logs, and i'm getting an error related to VMR9. I've attached the logs, hope you can tell me what's wrong and what i need to do to get this fixed, because i need a resason to get me an iPad!!!

Agree (though I have smart phones since long). MP Web Interface is so gone from the servicer ;-)

I might get back - can't get the search to work properly (always finds nothing - need to explore it it's an error on my side) and I wouldn't mind a less iPhone looking skin.

1) YES, it's accessible through the browser. Assuming you don't run your own server, a dynamic DNS service is recommended (dyndns.org for one). You of course also select port to access it via.

2) When accessing it via the Web, you kickstart a live stream by selecting a program from the EPG and it starts streaming after some buffering. You cna close that stream and open a new one, from another channel in the EPG of course.

Firstly, you cannot stream MovingPictures with iPiMP yet. The option to stream a TV Series episode is only offered if the iPiMP web app can access the episode file, if it cannot then the Stream option is not displayed.

Are you running iPiMP in single seat MP setup?
