IPTV not working (3 Viewers)

Hm. There were some bugs I made at night I uploaded the recent version. Bugs are fixed but I am not sure they are related to error you guys had got.

I have attached zip file with source files and Debug and Release versions of lib. They both will generate debug output to MPIPTVSource-XXXX-XX-XX.Log and I have put both versions just in case if its somehow related to your non-initialising filter problem.

Also j1nx: I tried to scan the m3u list you sent to me and have canceled the scan on 20th channel - all 19 channels were succesfuly recognised and added to channel list - see attachment.

Good to see that at least one of us get it going

I tried your new version, but no success yet. I tried both version, release and debug, as where the release version seems to do more that the debug version. The release version at least now writes the iptv log file, but contains the following (cancelled after the third channel, all no signal)

The section in the middle is deleted, but the log file already was 1 MB even after scanning 3 channels and was full of those HTTP - Ordered messages. If i grab 1 channel scan out of the tv.log, this is was is written in that file;

Hi all,

just a short warning: If you are using this filter on an rtp stream, please do not use dimkas latest version (MPIPTVSource-Dimka-20100407-1.zip) for a longer period, because it will produce HUGE logfiles! There are some debug outputs in there, that I added for testing purposes. The debug version will and the release version may (depends on how it was build) produce very large log files!


dimka: I had a quick look at the code and didn't see anything that could cause the null pointer exception. Do you have any Idea why the release version works better for j1nx than the debug version? Could it be timing issues between sending the request and receiving the first data? Or are there any issues in Microsofts http implementation? Did you try to set a callback method, perhaps you can get more info then. (These are only guesses, just trying to help).

Stepko: Can you try to build libs based on my code ? I am building it on Win7 64bit but not sure if it's matter. Also micmanm says its fully working for him with Release version.

j1nx: it's very strange you get empty get_string after parsing. I will try to put more LogDebug calls around parsing function. Will upload later today.

I'm running XP 32bit - SP3 (I think)

This evening I will fill out a proper template, so you all know what is under the hood.

Let me know, if you need any other information. Dimka, if needed I can even install Mikogo or Teamviewer on the machine itself, so you could have a look yourself. Don't mind other persons logging in into my mediacenter if it could help the development of this whole IPTV filter.

Would love to see a proper and total UDP/RTP/HTTP solution.

If you are talking about the system specifications it only automatically gets added to new posts in this forum. What you can do is go to your User Control Panel and fill in your information under "Edit system specifications". Then act like you are going to post a new topic in this forum. It will auto add your information to your post. Then just cut the text and cancel the new post. Then paste the text into a reply in this thread.

Yes, the filter doesn't receive anything. But I cannot say anything, because some important infos are missing:
What is the url of the stream? Is there any authorisation required? What are the exact steps to get the stream playing in vlc? Is there a playlist file you can upload?
