i have a problem like following:
Install fresh MP 1.1 final with tv server.
I have "mytv.m3u" playlist file and as i find info i need it to place to this path
MediaPortal TV Server\TuningParameters\iptv
but unfortunatelly there is only
MediaPortal TV Server\Plugins.

I tryied to create this folders "TuningParameters\iptv" and copy m3u, but on tvserver configuration i can choose only german, slovakia etc. service.

So what i missed up?

My playlist work fine with vlc, so maybe i need others plugins?

:D in andvance for information

TuningParameters are not located in TVserver installation directory. In Win7 thats C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TuningParameters\dvbip. Don't remember WinXP path but just search for Germany.Arcor.m3u on C: disk for example

As written before, in Spain, a provider of IP TV Imagenio has also changed its emissions to rtp protocol with the unfortunate result of leaving us almost no tv (back to VLC).

I put the logs of the my tests and if you can lose some of your time to take a look, because unfortunately I do not get this to work (although I'm not sure that is the problem of plugin).

The channels are well tuned for iptv plugin source but no difference when you play it with the original (bad video and audio).

The plugin seems to work well because if I use the Graphstudio and created a file can be played with the MediaPlayerClassic but using their mpeg splitter. MediaPortal can not play (although if I use the original MPIPTVSource same thing happens.)

If I record a file from TvSeverConfiguration (I guess using TsWriter) file no longer plays anyone. So I think it TsWriter problem but before the change to rtp it works fine.

So do not come to a conclusion so I guess I'm wrong in something and if someone could light up a bit this mess would appreciate it greatly.

Those who already thank all those who have come down here reading this post.

And of course Stepko, dimka and mikeyko, etc ...

This is translated by Google so I hope that is well understood.

    Hi Manuelito,

I had a look at your log files. Your TV log and MPIPTV-Filter log looks good. With the IPTV filter everything seems to be ok. There are some errors in your TSwriter log. But I cannot say if that is causing your problem.

First of all you should check which video format is used by your IPTV provider. Perhaps they changed the videoformat along with the transmission type. You can check this in vlc (when the stream plays fine in vlc "Extras"->"Codec information"). If they don't use mpeg2 or h.264 you won't be able to play that stream in MP.
If they use mpg or h264, you could send me a demo videofile. You should record that file from the MP tv server configuration tool. Go to "Manual Control" and start a record there.

    Hi and thanks Stepko. :D

The codec is H264 (unless I'm wrong).

I send 10sec. video (think that's enough,I have many more so if this does not work do not hesitate to ask more).

AW: Re: AW: Re: IPTV not working

    Hi Manuelito,

ok, this is weird. The video looks as if the mpiptv filter doesn't remove the rtp header. But the header IS removed according to the log and also if you open the file in a texteditor. The good news for you is that I think the problem is the mpiptv filter and the stream should work in mp. I didn't implement the complete rtp specification, perhaps your provider uses some very unusual header extension I didn't add to the filter.
I hope we can find the reason. The problem is, that I cannot receive that stream here. Please do the following:
    • Stop your TV server, replace your MPIPTVSource.ax with the one attached and start your tv server again. Record 3-5 seconds within the tv server configuration (like you did before) and post the log file (not the video file).
    • Change the address of the channel from rtp://@239.x.x.x to udp://@239.x.x.x, record 3-5 seconds and post the video file
The MPIPTVSource.ax attached here will log some more informations about the rtp header. Please do not use this file for a longer period, it will create very big log files!!!
When you change the protocoll from rtp to udp, the rtp header will not be removed. I hope I can have a look at the header then.

    Stepko

P.S.: I forgot to mention that I didn't test the filter attached. Hope it works ;)

ok - i see. Then your problem can be solved by using latest filter modifications PLUS extra preauth plugin. :)
    @dimka
That's funny ) i found the MP reading a thread about that "kartina" provider and plugin to show its TV (AFAIR, on the rozetka forums?). Now, circle is closed :)
OK, I see what is the idea. Sure, I would be glad to look at an example. It seems, time is coming to learn some C :)
