Changing the multimapping button doesn't have any effect. No matter what button I choose, it will always jump back to the start button when I re-open the settings.

I don't know if this problem only occus here, but is there any way I can change this button manually in a file untill this is fixed?

At the moment, MP sends all "channel change request" to my STB. The free channels should just use the internal tuner rather than going through the STB.

I think this has to do with the way you mapped the channels in MediaPortal, and not how IR Server Suite works... I could be wrong, but if the channel isn't specifically an external channel for the STB then IR Server Suite shouldn't be requested to tune it...

Could you try changing some of the details of the free channels you don't want tuned on the STB and see what happens, failing that provide a log of when this happens and I'll see what I can see.

OK, I see the problem, I'll update the test copy very soon ...

    Loses some buttons after standby

    Hi and81,
I am having trouble after standby with the new IRSuite. Only the OK, Up, Down, Left, Right and MCE button works on my MCE remote. You might want some logs, don't have them right here.

    Ciao,
    Ole

I understand some standby issues have crept back in, so I'll try to sort it out as soon as I can.

If I have any trouble I'll get back to you about the logs.

    Cheers,

Jump to MP Blast Zone menu?

The MP Blast Zone plugin is perfect for me to control an external DVD & VHS player (primarily to view and record old VHS own recorded movies).

By the press of a remote button I would like to jump directly to the Zone Blast menu controlling this stuff, but could not find this screen in the macro builder GoTo Screen list.

Next best are "Home" or MyPlugins" but then I have to scroll to find "Zone Blast plugin" as a second step which works for me but is not very obvious for my W and others...

    Thanks for some hints...

Excellent! I knew someone would find a use for the Blast Zone plugin some day! :)

The Goto screen list only includes built in screen names, but you can type a screen number in to jump to any screen... including plugins.

The screen number for a plugin can be found in it's skin xml file. For Blast Zone it is: 248101

If you have any feedback on Blast Zone, please keep it coming ...

    Cheers,

That was very good news! :D
I knew you would have a good solution. Will do it as soon as I return back home later today.
I will report back when using it more extensively, so far it works just great. Maybe sub menues could be handy later on, but so far it is OK.

A little sidenote is that it would simplify the macro building if also serial command were managed similar to IR commands, ie possibility to select already composed serial commands rather than writing them directly. An alternative (but probably more complex) method would be to allow macro in macro.

Anyway, I am very pleased now that I took the step and switched to IR Suite from HIP.:D

    Thanks for a great plugin!

    Hey,

I'm really glad to hear it's working out for you !

Having pre-built Serial commands is not a bad idea. I'm not sure how I'd go about doing it, but I'll look into it.

I considered having Macro nesting (using a macro in a macro), but there is a potential for sort of circular reference so I never allowed it. The problem is when one macro calls another macro which either directly or indirectly calls the first macro again...

    Like this:

    Macro 1:
    Blast IR
    Call Macro 2

    Macro 2:
    Serial Command
    Call Macro 3

    Macro 3:
    Goto Blast Zone Plugin
    Call Macro 1

You can see that this would just loop between the three macros forever... An infinite loop would ensue ... and we all know how bad they are ;) Let's see if he's reading this :)

I could put in some sort of circular reference detection ... in fact, that's not a bad idea...

If you could nest macro's then you could create a macro for each of the serial commands you want to repeatedly use and then call that macro... with detection of circular references (which would just mean keeping a macro call stack) I could make sure no-one stuffed it up...

    I'm on it ...

    Cheers,

    Great!
Macro nesting would be even more flexible!

May I then just throw in that it might make sense to put "low level macros" in a common folder so that once created they are available for all plugins?

    Thanks

Hmmm, yeah, I don't know about the "low level macros"...

I'm sure you've figured out why the macros are kept separate for each plugin. I just worry that making some macros available across plugins and some not would be too confusing for people.

I'll post back here later when I've added macro nesting so you can test it out ...

    Cheers,
