Hi Aaron,

I have a question on IR Server, or actually the MP Plugin, that I hope you can help me with.

When my HTPC resume from S3 standby inputs from the remote is not recognized by MP. It seems as there is no focus on MP so the inputs are sent somewhere else. In particular I notice this since I have mapped one of the remote keys to turn on the LCD and audio. If I manually turn on the LCD and use the mouse to click in the MP window then the MCE works again.

I've previously use your MCE Replacement Plugin and it worked well then. The only thing I have changed (I believe) is to replace it with IR server.

I've unselected the "Require focus" option in the config.

Any ideas?

New version

Hey everyone, there's a new version on the first post of this thread.

This is an interim release. I had wanted to include some more features but things are taking too long so I though it was a good idea to just get something out there.

The most notable new feature is the Web Remote. It lets you connect to a virtual remote over the web. It's still early days, but give it a try...

Things you should know:

- You will need to redo some details of your Translator program settings. Translator has been improved, I think you'll like it.

- Web Remote defaults to port 2481.

- To use the Translator OSD you can either call it from the tray icon or you can put it as a command for a button press.

- Girder 3.x plugin support is experimental... please let me know if you have any trouble.

Command for OSD translator

Thanks for the new version. Very nice with the OSD possibility for the translator.
Tried to launch the OSD via command, and by using windows message, but both translator and MP crashed... so I thought I better ask...
Which method to use to make an OSD command?
In case Windows message is the answer, could you help with some setting parameters?

hmm, that's strange, did you get any error messages?

I'll try to duplicate the problem...

Well, I thought I caused the crash by using wrong parameters for the windows message command. Where could i figure out the correct parameters values? I tied by setting a windows message command by addressing the translator application and played around with different parameters...

ohh, you can't send windows messages directly to the translator app. if you want to use Windows Messages then activate the windows messages IR Server Plugin and target it. In the plugin config you can define what message to listen for. The parameters are then used like a remote button press.

Hi Aaron,

Didn't get the IR221 IR-Receiver to work on XP (I PMed you bout that), so I went for a normal MCE USB receiver.

Installed the new version of IR Server - (thx!), but there are some issues:

1. like petsa said: after S3 resume remote doesn't work correctly. after exiting IRServer and starting new - it works again.

2. when I try to map my mce remote in MP plugin for IR: I am not able to map something other than "Home" to the TV button - after applying therer is still "Home" as value - I simple wanted it to directly start with fullscreen TV

3. and I gave the MP Blaster a shot to start Firefox from mediaportal (myProgram doesn't work correctly when starting from MPfullscreen). So nice surprise - with the Blaster MP is automatically minimized and Firefox is started.
Is there a chance to bring MP up to fullscreen automatically after closing Firefox?

Macro makes MP crash

Hi,
Latest version seems to create an unhandled exception in MP. From (the little) I understand from the logs, seems it has to do with the threading logic.
Hope the logs are sufficient (easy to reproduce for me).
The macro causing the failure contains both a serial blast and a toggle layer command.
Other macros with only serial commands seems to work OK, have no other toggle layer command so I have not tested toggle with any other command.
