    Just wanted to update everyone:

    I've confirmed some issues with resuming from S3 standby.

    S1 standby seems to be fine, but S3 is causing trouble. I'll keep at it and hopefully have a solution soon.

    Cheers,

    IR Server (Latest version and previous) stop working for me every few days. My remote (MCE) will no longer work (except for the standard windows buttons). The system tray icon is still there (IR Server still running) and the Tray Launcher is still running and connected to IR Server.
    It just stops listening to my remote. The only error I can find in the log is in the Tray Launcher:
    12/7/2007 3:55:44 PM - Error: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Unable to enumerate the process modules.

    2007-10-28 version?

    Hi all

    can somebody pls make teh 2007-10-28 version available for download? I have reformated my machine and the latest version doesnt blast well to my STB. 2007-10-28 was the first (and last) version that was reliably blasting to my ADB STB!

    thank you!:D

    StaticMan:

    The tray launcher error is nothing to worry about, I'm putting code in to ignore that error. It's generated when trying to launch the program. It's part of the code that detects if the program is already running and is expected, so I will stop it from being reported.

    Does your PC ever enter a standby/hibernation? If it does then that might be why IR Server is failing...

    I've made some significant improvements to the standby/resume code that is in the suite, so hopefully this will fix itself with the next release.

    stanoislav:

    What model ADB STB do you have? Is it in the quick-setup list?

    Yesterday I went through the quick setup list and tweaked some of the files ... I made a change for the ADB 3100 ...

    I haven't released the changed files yet, but if your STB is one of these then I will release the files now so you can try it.

    Unfortunately I don't keep old versions .. I used to, but now that the source code is in SVN I don't need to because I can always go back to old code and recompile ... Let me know about your STB to see if it's worth compiling the old version again ...

    Cheers,

    Hi Aaron

    Let me just start by saying that your work is greatly appreciated. I wouldn't be able to use mediaportal fully if it wouldnt be for your work.

    I'm not using pre-set STB codes. My box is ADB SCV-3800C; it's an HD cable box used by provide in Singapore called Starhub. The previous version of the IR suite plugin has improved dramatically the blasting for me; it was almost 100% reliable. With the latest version STB is ignoring the commands sent from the plugin.

    So what I did today after not being able to find the previous IR suite version is that I installed the MCE Replacement Plugin. That one seems to have the blasting code the same version as the previous IR suite had. With that the STB responds perfectly in the configuration. I'm attaching the IR codes that work smoothly on my STB. However when closing configuration and trying to switch channels from within the media portal I'm getting stramge null pointer exceptions in the log (pls see attached). When I look at the mediaportal using sysinternals process monitor I can see that the plugin is able to correctly load the IR files from the correct location; so I'm not sure what is causing the nullpointers.

    thank you

    s:D

    My computer doesn't go into Standby (S1 or S3). The only thing I do is power down my hard drive.

    Thanks for the stb codes, I'll add them to the collection.

    I'll try to debug what is happening with the null pointer exceptions... I'll get back to you as soon as I know something.

    In the meantime, if someone has the copy stanoislav is after please post it here. I'll recompile it tomorrow (within 24 hours) if no-one has it. It's a little bit of mucking around for me to build an old version, but I'll try.

    StaticMan:

    Is there anything in the IR Server log or the log of the transceiver?

    I'll set up a long-term test rig and try to reproduce the problem here.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,

    I only have an IR Server and Tray Launcher log file. I am assuming Transceiver would be in the same place?
    IR Server shows nothing out of the ordinary.

    transceiver logs are stored in the root directory if you're running a debug build. Are you running the latest test version?

    I'm running 12/2. Didn't see a debug version.
    All I have in my root dir is MicrosoftMceTransceiver_DriverXP.txt:
    Start()
    StartReadThread()
    WriteSync()
    00, FF, AA,
    WriteSync()
    9F, 0C, 07, D0,
    WriteSync()
    9F, 14, 01,

    Is this the file you're looking for? Does it get overwritten everytime I restart IR Server?
