Thanks and-81. Magic - working fine as far as I can see. A guide on the Wiki would be really cool if someone witha bit more knowledge than me had a go at it :)

The help file under the plugin settings isn't bad though.

These commands appears in config when i import channels fra drembox plugin. And changing works...

    Right now I have the latest version of IR Server Suite (service) running, and my remote can control MP. My remote is an MCE remote that came in my Hauppauge PVR-150 MCE Kit, and using the USB receiver supplied in the kit with the MS drivers.

    I still have the problem that whenever I try to learn (in MP Control Plugin for IR Server), it times out. As if it isn't getting the data passed to it by IR Server? For testing, I am trying to learn codes directly from my RC6 remote.

    OK, What OS are you running? XP, Vista, ... ?

    It could be that the Input Service isn't selecting the correct learn "port" for your device... That's if you're using Vista. If you're using XP then it could be just another in a long line of Hauppauge incompatibilities I seem to be having... I'm going to end up needing to buy one of these things I think.

    Also, if you could supply log files from the service and from the driver (in the root directory of your hard disk) that might help too.

    I tried both (MCE replacement and server suite) and none of them were able to learn the IR codes from my sony remote (RM-U305). In the other remote screen of MCE replacement, it can understand the signal but somehow not on the IR learn screen/mode. With out this, I don't get any additional advantage over default MCE plugin.

    OK, Same question here, what OS are you running?

    Is the remote control receiver Microsoft OEM?

    Can you learn commands from any other remotes?

    Can you provide some log files I can take a look at?

    Also note that the remote must be within a couple of inches of the receiver when learning IR, unlike normal operation when it can be 20 feet away.

    I have another issue. I am now playing with IR server and using translator to launch my program and also provide default behavior to my MCE remote. I only have Systemwide settings. I had configured "Info" button on my remote to Translator OSD and it workes fine when nothing else is playing.
    When I run MEdiaportal, and press I on the TV screen, the OSD from translator comes and mess up the whole system. I was under the impression that these system wide settings would come into effect only when no other application specific plugin is running. Is it no the case?
    If not, how can I achieve the above with out interfering with media portal plugin.

    Set up a program item in Translator for MediaPortal and check the box "Ignore system-wide mappings".

    I think I might make that a general configuration option in Translator ....

    Hey Tazman, you could use these codes to change channels with my plugins but you'd only be able to setup 10 channels (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) because there is no way for the plugin to know how to convert, for example, Channel "32" into that format.

    If you get what I mean?

    You could set the Digit 1 code to "1:0:1:1b62:9:56:320000:0:0:0:" and that would work when changing to channel 1, but it would fail if you tried to change to channel 11.

    I'm going to see if I can get the author of the dreambox plugin to make a standalone exe version that can be called from within my plugins ... or to make a code library I can import for dreambox users.

    Hi all,

    Need somehelp desperately.

    Running TV3 on Vista Ultimate 32 bit, I installed the latest SVN and then the new IR Server suite with the TV3 plugin, however, no matter how much I try, I can't see the plugin in the TVserver config window!
    WIthout this my MP setup is useless as I use it solely with my Satellite STB and IR Server blasteing the channels...

    Please help me as I've been trying all sorts of things to get this working (atm I'm using GBPVR with IR Server but it's not as good as MP).

    It's because the plugin wants to take the "11" and pass that on, but what it needs to do is translate that "11" into "1:0:1:c1c:5:56:320000:0:0:0:" and I have no way to do that (yet).

    I haven't given up, but it might be a while before I have something working. Sorry.

    Make sure you shut down the TV Server before installing the plugin. Also, make sure the plugin is selected in the IR Server Suite installer.

    It could be an issue with Vista support, so let me make a change and re-upload a new version too...

    Gimme about 12 hours or so.

    Not sure if anybody else noticed the problem with IR Service. On my XP machine, on a fresh boot, the service is running but doesn't pass any input to IR client. I have to stop and start the service again in order to any input.

    hello_man, I don't get that problem, so it could be specific to your pc.

    But ... What remote control do you have?

    Do you have an MCE variant of Windows XP ?

    Any other specifics you can tell me about your pc?

    I have a short question,

    I am trying to understand what your plugin/server does exactly and I cannot understand if it sends the blaster commands when a tv channel changed on MP or just controlling the settop-box.

    I am expecting an easy GUI in MP server configuration to set a settop-box channel per MP channel. I expect that whenever a channel change on MP occurs and succeed, the bluster will send the command to the settop-box to replace the channel (Exactly like it was on MP1). Is this what I will get from the IR Blaster when it will support the Hauppauge?
