What SVN version are you running?

I'm using SVN 17991. After that the filters go mental on my system... but I know that it's not the same for everyone.

17991 seems fairly stable though.

I'm experimenting with using a new SVN but with the old filters ... I don't recommend you do this because I can't be sure of anything yet.

Diehard2 is working on the trouble I'm having ... so I expect he'll sort it out soon... he's very good :)
...
Cheers,

Hey Aaron, I had installed SVN 18273 before I saw this. I'll try SVN 17991, but I likely won't get to it till tomorrow at the earliest, and it may have to wait till next weekend (gosh darn work gets in the way of the important stuff ;) )

I've attached the logs, from my test this morning. I quickly skimmed them, but nothing jumps out at me (other than all those filters failing!). I tried to record 2 shows that both started at 8am, HGTV_House Detective on channel 59 and WDCW_Skunk Fu! on channel 3.

It properly changed the channel for HGTV (good choice), but the blaster didn't even blink for channel 3. Note that it will change the channel properly when I test it in configuration. I wonder if its because both tuners are the same type? (two Hauppaugge PVR 150).

And another random and I think unrelated quirk... the "back" button doesn't function, no matter what I set it to do. The only way to go "back" to previous screen is hitting the "clear" button, which according to configuration isn't set to do anything at all.

I had a problem with the back button as well which was sorted once I went in to the Mediaportal plugin and re-added the MCE remote. Take a look in there and see if the arrows and back key are mentioned. I think I also had to clear the allow system keys in the input service as well for all to work properly.

Not near MP at the moment so sorry if my terminology doesn't match up with what it says but it should be close enough. :D

Translator application launch with focus causes translator to stop...

but when only using maximized it works OK.
It is consistent and easy to reproduce in my Vista32. Just make a macro to launch any application (tried with MP, MCE and MediaPlayer, no difference) and tick the checkmark "Force focus".

Translator seems to perform the macro but is stopped with an OS message.
Included all logs, the .bak log is for a launch with "Force focus". The .log is for a manual launch (with "Force focus" unchecked).

Thanks for all your effort, the IR Server Suite is really one of the highlights in the MP area.:D

Yeah that's because of the duplicated reference dlls in the plugins folder. Newer SVNs should solve this, but you can correct it yourself ... delete the PluginBase.dll and Powerscheduler.interfaces.dll from the plugins folder. I think that should do the trick.

OK... I finally gotten it working as per your instructions to get TVengine3 Blaster show up in the setup program.

However, I am facing another problem now...
1) Input Service doesn't launch on startup and I have to manually go into management console to start it. Is it because I am running on UAC? Is there any workarounds for this?
2) Is there anyway to redirect the remote to launch Mediaportal instead of Vista MCE without installing a third-party IR driver? This is because when Mediaportal crashes now, it doesn't allow me to launch Mediaportal with the remote.

And I also see that the documentation is not installed on the new installer. Maybe you might want to check on that.

And I have also made a config that supports the STB my cable provider (Starhub CableTV, Singapore) uses. Not sure of the exact model of the STB (there are various STB that uses the same IR input). It is attached.
:D

Balvenie:

There is no iMON support in the IR Server Suite at the moment, I'll add it to the list of things to do.

In the meantime try looking around the forums, I think there are a few threads about the iMON.

Sorry I can't be of more assistance at the moment.

Cheers,
I'm desperately awaiting iMON support as well. I have the iMON LCD with integrated IR receiver that I'm trying to get working.

Any update on the iMON support? I saw something about a Girder Plugin possibly working for iMON. Is this for an iMON IR receiver?

Thanks for your fantastic work on this tool! :D

I also have a problem with the "back" button suddenly. I've had a worknig MP and XP, but due to some XP system errors and issues, I've had to recover my XP Build from a backup image, and then I installed MP 0.2.3.0 with the IR Suite 1.0.4.2 Preview 6, and then suddenly my back button doesn't work! I tried clearing the MP Plugin setting and re-adding the MCE Remote back into the setting but it still doesn't not work.

Interestingly, when I used the Tray Launcher setup and tried to map a button, upon pressing the "back" button, while the my remote receiver lights up, but no key press is detected by IR Suite. Other buttons works just fine.

FYI I'm able to use the back button just using the standard default MCE Remote setting under MP.

Anyone has any ideas what could be wrong?

I think I know what the back button problem is ...

Back is one of the buttons that's automatically acted on by the ehome drivers (at least, it is on my pc) so you'll need to disable the automatic button handling to get it working ... I'll double check everything and maybe make a change in the next version if there is a problem here.

    Cheers,

Fixed in the next test version.

    JaLooNz:

Try disabling the MCE services (can be done in the input service, mce remote, setup).

Hey Aaron, I am so happy right now I can't even *begin* to tell you. I finally got the dual-tuners working and initial tests were successful!!!!!! I used the SVN you mentioned, and added one card, set it up, then added the second card, repeated and it seems to be working beautifully.

I only have 2 *very* minor issues.
    1) the back button... where is the automatic button handling? is that in the input config?
    2) the STB occasionally (like 1 out of 20) misses a digit from the blaster. I think it can be fixed if i can tell the blaster to show the signal for a little bit longer, the equivalent of "holding down the button" for just a split second longer. I'm pretty sure theres a setting for that, but I don't recall where it is, or its labeled something I'm not expecting.

Thanks again for all your help!

It doesn't seem I have any problems with this plugin because it seems to learn my amplifiers remote signals just fine. When I hit the test buttons it fires through my blasters no problem at all.

Can you please tell me, how do I make it blast my amplifier when I press a button in mediaportal.

    My setup:
Currently using the "Use MCE Remote" option in MPs default configuration.
Have installed IR Server Suite and have used the Configuration to learn the; Vol Up, Vol Down, Mute buttons from my amplifier.
Have also run Mapping in the IR Suite and mapped those IRBlasts to the correct buttons on the MCE Remote.

I was hoping it would simply blast my amplifier the minute I pressed one of these buttons on the MCE remote.

    Any help would be great!
