IR Server Suite - Version 1.4.2 Test Build 3158/3281 (4 Viewers)

Hi,

Just thought I'd try and see if anyone on this thread knows how to fix the following error - sorry for the double post:

2008-08-24 01:51:00.238953 [14]: System.ArgumentException: Type provided must be an Enum.
Parameter name: enumType
at System.Enum.GetName(Type enumType, Object value)
at TvEngine.TV3BlasterPlugin.events_OnTvServerEvent(O bject sender, EventArgs eventArgs)

I can't seem to get this working with my setup. I've got Vista Ultimate 64 bit blasting via ehome Microsoft IR to a Foxtel Pace DC420NF. I'm running TV Server RC2 SVN 20010 (also tried without SVN).

I've tried the stable and test releases of IR Suite but I get the same error on both - when I load the pre-load config and click test it works fine but when I try and change channel inside MP I get the errors above.

Update: I don't quite know how but I've got the test version working happy days - divorce narrowly avoided

I could be wrong but I'm wondering if a reboot after installing the IR suite (and MP Server) before I configured the blaster plug in may have been what I did differently to get it working... not sure...

I am being a little dense here, I am using IR server suite with RC2 (TV3 Server), I have 2 channels that come from an external STB, I have the IRcodes setup and the TV3 plugin configured (and I can test the channel change manually), for some reason though MP never seems to send the command to change channels to the IR server, I am sure its a config issue but I could do with some guidance. I have the 2 channels setup as per what I have read in the forums, I believe there is no conce[t of "external" anymore.

The one thing I worked out when doing the install last week was evreytime I made a change, installed something, learned a new remote etc was that nothing would work until I did a reboot !

So if youve learned a new remote and it works with the test button but not when you start MP, reboot your machine and cross your fingers. It worked for me when I couldnt change the STB with the blasters and it worked for me when I taught my MCE remote my Amp volume buttons and then had the translator turn the Amp commands into a blast command.

I can't create macro

Hi,


I realy don't like post message, and ask for help, but after few days I don't know how to solve problem. Now I use latest media portal with tv server (2 client), and everithing works fine. I use IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2.1711 and i have problems with macro. I never use macro before, but i thing that i know how to do. In TV3 plugin i try to create macro, but after when I press ok, i don't see this macro. Their is nothing on list... I have many macros for controling my LG TV and i try copy them in Tv3 macro folder and then I see list of macros, but when I try to select and test one of them i see error. (something like "no macro file...).. So If someone know what i doing wrong plesae help me.. Thank you

Well i managed to get the remote to work by letting winlirc recieve the remote signals, send them to girder and convert them to keystrokes = not the ultimate solution.

But i got this strange and very wierd problem, as soon as i litsen to music or radio winlirc can't receive any signals But when i watch movies etc it works great!

i too use IRSS in combination with WinLirc and map keys using translator

i have a question though

when i reboot the pc, IRSS server service runs but forgets to start winlirc, so i need to restart the configuration application after ive manually started winlirc application, and then it runs fine.

ive tried to call the server app after calling winlirc in a batch script, but had no success.

Can you tell me how you did to get winlirc to work with IRSS? Btw i found a girder plugin called Igorplug, it's originally intended for use with some other ir-receiver but it works with the lirc-receivers (the cheap simple ones you can build by yourself).

But i can not get IRSS to receive my signals from girder or winlirc. Now i have to convert the remote signals to keystrokes with girder and i don't really like that solution..

When will the new version of IR Server Suite be available? I hope this will fix the Vista Resume bug.
