Hi,

I am new to this whole Media Portal / IR server magic that you weave.
The question I have is that I have a Compro s350 and would like to use its remote for Media Portal.
So,
1) will this remote work at all with Media Portal?
2) if so then how do I set this up, as I have no idea?

Start button not working since upgrade from XP to Vista

Hi

I have recently upgraded my HTPC from XP SP3 to Vista Ultimate 32bit. I have not had any hassles with XP and IRSS. Since the vista upgrade the issues have been endless. One issue have been sorted out with the following updates for MCE Tranceiver files in the post: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/.../irss-still-freezing-resume-45357/index3.html

The issue I had was that I could not use port 1 to blast, only port 2 or "both".

The issue that I've got at the moment is that IRSS does not pick up my Start button on the MCE Remote (I use it in "multi mapping" to switch from normal remote to amplifier remote.

Hello,
I'm trying to use IRSS 1.4.2.2391 with an IMON VFD integrated in a mozart thermaltake chassis. Thw firmware versione of my IMON is 0x36 and the imon manager versione is 7.40. Unfortunately i'm not able to use irss as you can see in the log file attached. The message say " Can't find iMon Manager... unable to set mode", but imon manager is closed automaically when the service start. Is there a solutions ofr this?

Hi, I am considering this program and plugin for my production setup of MP.
I have two questions that I can not get answered by reading the docs and running the programs on a test machine without Remote.

1. Can I setup my old serial IR reciever? Cause I can not find a reciever that is plain serial configurable in the hardware list.

2. Can I setup a shift like button? My remote does not have many buttons. And I do want to use a lot of different functions . So I would love to designate one or two buttons to a shift functions. Say, if button A is pressed and followed by button X it has a different mapping then button X pressed without a leading button A.

I use MP Control Plugin for IR Server with my MCE Remote.
A volume indicator doesn't appear on the screen when I press VolUp, VolDown or Mute buttons on MCE Remote.
But it appears when I press "-", "=" or "M" keys on my keyboard.
And it appears if I use standard setting for MCE Remote (instead of MP Control Plugin).

Can't seem to get this set up right. For starters, I just want to use IRSS to remap The Green Button, TGB, to eliminate BasicHome, as described here. At first it complained about a missing XML file, MPControlPlugin.xml. I found a copy in IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2 RC1 - MP Control Plugin update.zip and copied it to the correct directory, but still can't find anything that looks like TGB in the Config dialog, even using MCE full. Clicking "Map Keys" no longer gives an error message, but I don't really want to build a complete keymap for MCE Remote from scratch. What am I missing here?

If i want to control my IR devices like Receiver and Projector i need to have an IR EYE connected to my PC.
Where do i find this? What is supported and what is the most stable types i should use? USB or Serial IR Eyes?

The MS MCE remote + Hauppauge MCe remote (bundled) comes with 1/2 IR-blasters ("eyes") that work well.

If I enable the MP Control Plugin in MP Configuration and click on "Configuration" in the context menu, nothing happens.
Any ideas what the problem could be?
I am using the latest 1.4.2 version
