Hi, I once had this problem.

I solved it by having the remote and the reciever realy close to each other when learning the code. I mean realy close like 0.5 - 1 cm from each other.

So, are you saying that I can definitely use the eHome Transceiver with IRSS to learn any arbitrary remote control and blast its commands through the eHome using IRSS?

What I have done is this:
I'm able to control my top-set box with the IR-blaster which came together with the Microsoft-remote. I used IRSS to learn the codes from the remote that I used for controling the top-set box (a "Strong 8700" sat receiver). And now IRSS use these codes to change channels on the top-set box. The little IR-blaster is glued to the top-set box just above the IR-receiver on the box, and then flashes the codes to the box when needed.
The next step is important:
You need to put the remote (from the Strong 8700 sat-receiver) realy close to the MCE-receiver, when the codes are learned. Also the little microsoft IR-transmitter should be placed very close to the IR-receiver on the Top-set box (mm to cm)

Try to enter "return" after update the condition, most off the time this works ok.

Sadly I'm going to have to say goodbye to IRSS.. Just having one to many issues...

PowerDVD 7 does not work.
Can not change my Mapping inside MP Plugin Control
No HID support...

Strange though that I had no problem with the "MP Control Plugin" till I updated to 1.01

Look forward to a future update, love the system, love translator but these problems are just too big..

Can't really help you with the technical issues. Was just wondering if you used the latest 1.0.4.2 beta on MP 1.0.1?

Inputservice is booting (Windows Vista SP1 service) and the translator, too, but when you squeeze the symbol of WMC on the remote control, the two applications start, or the MP (depending on the Translator) and WMC (although set in the disable input service configuration) .
The only situation normalizes, or only open only the MP, when I open the service configuration input and give an okay. Then the WMC no longer appears. But after rebooting the PC ... I need to run the Input Service Configuration and OK to work ...
What is happening?
Any help is very appreciated!

MAME32 and IRSS

I am using IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2.2627, MP 1.0.1, and TV-Server 1.0.1.

When I start my HTPC, IRSS's Input Service starts automatically, and then MP starts, and I can't launch any games from MAME32 (through the MyEmulators plugin). If I exit MP, I cannot start MAME32, it always gives the same error (I am away from home right now, but I will update this with the error message when I can). However, if I stop IRSS's Input Service, I can then launch MAME32, and if I leave it running and re-start Input Service, I can then close and open MAME32 all I want without any trouble, and I can launch MAME32 games from within MP (using MyEmulators) without trouble. If Input Service stops for any reason, however, then I have to go through this procedure again to get MAME32 running. There is obviously some sort of conflict between these two programs, but I leave it to the experts to figure out what it is.

Also, I have a chronic problem where IRSS just stops working every couple of days or so. When this happens, the arrow buttons, the Back button and the Clear button still function, but most of the other buttons do not (I'm using an MCE remote with the ehome receiver/blaster). When this happens, I exit MP and find that Input Service has stopped. I can simply start it again, and everything then works fine. Occaisionally, the opposite set of buttons stop working (i.e. the arrows, Back and Clear stop working, but other buttons do work.). When this happens, I generally have to unplug the ehome receiver usb cable and then plug it back in to get things working again. Also, lately when this happens, after plugging it back in, I find that the arrow buttons, the Back button and the Clear button now work, but the other buttons don't. If this happens, I can exit MP, stop Input Service, unplug ehome receiver, plug ehome receiver back in, then re-start Input Service, and everything works again. As I mentioned before, this happens every couple of days, so it's a little annoying.

Anyway, I'm not sure if the two problems are related or not, but they are both clearly related to IRSS, so I thought I'd post them here. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, and thanks for this great software. Even with the bugs, I still love it.
