I'll have to look into how the PowerDVD IR receiver component works, but you could try using the Custom HID receiver plugin with the other devices in the list ... that might work.

To use your foxtel remote to control IR Server Suite I will need to find a way to tell the difference between the RC6 variant that it uses and the existing RC6 variants I support ... so far I can't tell the difference while I'm decoding the signal...

You can of course still learn and blast Ir commands to match the remote, you just cant use it to control the IR Server Suite until I figure out the protocol.

I'll have another crack at it while I wait for a couple of things to get settled prior to releasing the next version of IR Server Suite.

Hi Aaron,

once more you did a great job with 1.0.4.2 Preview 3. Maybe you remember my problem with getting my very old Philips TV set to react on learned and blasted commands. I really appreciate the newly included program to play around with the learned commands (learned a lot from it about IR commands myself) - however, it was not necessary any more! 1.0.4.2 Preview 3 was the first version where I could just learn the command, blast it and it worked. I've got no idea what you changed in that version (last version I used was 1.0.4.1 - never tried 1.0.4.2 Preview 1 or 2) but now finally it just reacts at the first blasting.

Hitting enter solves problem with correct values not being on mapped. I just can't make context menu to pop up when I hit back while viewing TV fullscreen. I've tried windows tvfullscreen and fullscreen. I'll try plain TV later. I dislike TV home-screen and would want to get rid of it. Context menu can have all necessary options (I've rearranged and added some features to hardcoded context-menu so I won't need tv home at all).

Thanks And-81. The other device is bluetooth and so wont work with my remote control. Obviously I can use my keyboard to control MP but the remote can do macros and all sorts of things which I was hoping to get working so I can do away with the keyboard altogether.

I've had a look on the cyberlink site and its a different model now thats displayed on there so maybe its an old one. Its only cost me £6 which isn't much at all, I'm thinking it might be wise to purchase another usb reciever or if you can source the same model I have cheaply over there, I will supply you with the funds to purchase one if it will help you support the device.

Hi,

I' am using 1.0.4.2 Preview 3 / SVN 17811 and it works fine, great work!
Just two issues left:

1 - when the translator service is running the mouse double click is not working any more. I can't open folders under windows via double click and the drop down list boxes are not working

2 - the "go to window" event doesn't work for "Target window ID" within MP. It works perfect with the "Send to Target window" parameter but not when entering the specified window..

Everyone:

There is a new preview version (4) of 1.0.4.2 available on the first thread. If it is stable and reliable I will finalise 1.0.4.2 and put it on the site's main download section.

There are some nice new features and plenty of bug fixes.

For example, you should now be able to reliably use Girder 3.x plugins for devices I don't support directly yet. For example, you should be able to use Imon IR receivers with IR Server Suite by using the girder plugin here

Please let me know of any bugs so I can prepare the 1.0.4.2 final release.

1 - That's one of the strangest things I've heard of. Translator does not capture mouse actions at all... It has a little icon in the system tray that will react when clicked, but what you're describing is very, very strange. Can you tell me more about your PC and setup?

2 - I'm not sure I fully understand you here, can you give me more information?

Hi aaron,

After installing preview 4, i got this exceptions after pressing "auto detect" in service config.
I have no DirectInput device attached atm. only mce remote. and i started the traytool before launching the configtool.

1 . even more strange as I get an error message after installing the Preview 4, so where can I find the cached data, because un/- install has no effect -the trasnlator is broken....How can I set up a clean, new installation of your suite? Un/Installation is not clean becasue it has the same config entires as before...
I' am using XP SP2...MCE mouse and keyboard - I just reinstalled the "eHomeRollupDrivers" and the "MCERemoteDriver"....

2. very simple: event handling of "GoToWindow" is only working with the parameter "send to target window", with the parameter "Target window ID" it doesn't - at least here.


So I would like to check this out, before I do a setup of my whole system.
