IR Server Suite - Version 1.4.2 Test Build 3158/3281 (2 Viewers)

Hi all,

Anyone used the IR Server Suite with a Leadtek (CoolCommand) remote? Do I need to have the Winfast PVR2 software installed - and the wizard running - for the remote to work with IR Server Suite? (there are a couple of other CoolCommand plugins that all require the Winfast software to be installed and the wizard running). If I can get away without installing Winfast PVR, that would be good.

Is there anybody who has an working IMon Pad with the IR Server Suite? When i open notepad only the Numbers are recogized. Mouse-mode is also working, but the rest of the keys dont work. And I cant switch to keyboard mode

Is there a way to control only the focused, well, the top most application (as it would be in the full screen mode) using the IR Server Suite? Or is there any othe SW/plugin that I can achieve this with?
What I mean is that if I use MPC Home Cinema as an external player for playing videos/movies in MediaPortal I do not want MediaPortal to react to the remote while using the external player.

I spent almost the whole day searching for a solution but with no luck.

Thanx in advance for any advise as this would really help me.

Hi Andy I hope all is going well. going back to a earlier post of mine I couldn't figure out how to disable/uninstall and enable/install the drivers for ehome/ms IR Receiver with a batch file. I know you are extremely busy with your software but if you get a chance could you help me with this - thanks and take care!

Hey everyone,

I'm really sorry for the lack of support lately. I've started a new job and it's been difficult to find any time for MediaPortal. What little time I've had I've spent getting my new laptop set up for MediaPortal and development. It's a Vista Business x64 setup and has presented some issue, but I think it will actually provide a really good development environment once I'm fully up and running.

I'm planning to release the last test version of IR Server Suite before going to 1.4.2 final before the end of the month. In the meantime I'll try to answer some of the questions on the forum. But I'm out of time for right now, so I'll try to come back on the weekend to answer as many questions as I can.

I also want to thank everyone for their support and make it clear that I'm not going to stop developing IR Server Suite, I've just been forced to slow down a little bit for now.

Need Help

I originally posted this over on the GB-PVr forum but I have still not been able to get IR receiver suite working on the blaster side. In the Translator setup under Ir commands it will not learn the button presses from the Scientific Atlantic Explorer 4200 STB remote. I get no error message it just sits there not leaning. I install edthe software per the GB-PVR wiki instructions and it does controls the GB-PVR menus such as up down, recorded TV and guide button , so that part is working.

I am using VISTA Home premium, I also deleted the entries in the registry as suggested. Also am using version 1. 0.4.1. My best guess is that some component is missing because when learning it just sits there doing nothing.

I really need to get this working. Without it I am unable to schedule any recording. Appreciate any help you can provide.
