Hey Simone... Curious to know what future plans are in the works when it comes to being able to hyperlink plugin's from within the Mapping section... This is very useful as you don't need use shortcutter and macro's and also for one major limitation..

Using the macro and shortcutter system does not allow you to cycle through alternating plugin's using the one button. With the "Generic Remote Input" plug-in I had for instance my music button setup so when I first hit it, it would go to "Music Genre", hit again "Last-fm", hit again "RadioTime", hit again "Shoutcast", hit again "Now Playing"... This was done using conditions, for instance if showing "Last-fm" toggle window "Radio Time"

Very cool system and pretty much allowed me access to all my plug-ins with little less than two or three clicks... Thanks..

iMON VFD

I'm running MP 1.0.2 with iMon VFD.

I've just installed:
Version 1.4.2 Test Build 3015 relased - Please read the CHANGELOG and give us feedback regarding this release

and not sure what to do now. I've selected iMon USB and can see the green IR icon running. But MP doesn't react on my remote.
1) Do I still need to run the iMon remote software? (it's installed)
2) Can I run it concurrently for controlling other apps (or IR server would do the same job)?

I also found:
IR Server Suite to resolve Remote Control Problems - My Home Theater PC Project
3) Is this still valid for the version I'm using, copying files etc.?

I guess VFD has nothing to do with IR server, right? I'll searh in the plugin config.

Thanks
Phuoc

    Hi!

1: No, iMON software must be installed, but NOT running!
2: IRSS can do the same job, if not even better, with the tool called Translator.
3: As you can read in first two lines of this blog ("Refer to my recent post and experience with version 1.0.0.0 of Media Portal and version 1.4.2 of IR Server Suite, which superceeds this post!") it is no more actual.

VFD is a display device, which is builtin in some iMON devices and is handled by Minidisplay plugin.
IRSS only handles the remote device/part of the iMON device.

We still have a number of issues with some firmwares, it seems that yours is such a one.
You could help us a lot if you provide logs!
If you provide some bushounds you help even more :)

How such a bushound is being done is explained here (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...165/imon-support-66786/index5.html#post478655).

And for all replies to that, please step in to https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/ir-server-suite-irss-165/imon-support-66786/index10.html

    Yours, belcom.

I'll follow your reply and try to get it work first.

    My VFD was built-in :)

    Help - Hauppauge Blaster

    Hi All ..

This is my first dip into the mediaportal pool, so I may have missed something trivial and would like a little help ? I have read this thread, and 3 people have reported the same problem, but none of their questions where answered, so perhaps this could be 4th time lucky so the next person with this problem will have a solution ;) . I have a Hauppauge PVR-150, which I am trying to use with MeediaPortal TVServer and TV3 blaster plugin.

I have started the input service, but note that configuring the inputservice my Hauppauge option doesnt have a "transmit" checkbox (It does in fact have a blaster which is plugged in) .. so when trying to set the STB up, I get "none" in the "blaster port" dropdown. Selecting MCE (which has a transmit checkbox) has no effect ...

    Please help

AFAIK, the Hauppauge plugin in IRSS is just the IR receiver portion, not the IR transmitter.

    Hi chemelli,

Great piece of software! Couldn't use my HTPC without it! I have a problem with the latest release though.

I have been using build 2975 with Windows 7 x64 (build 7100) with no problem controlling MP. Updated to 3018 and i cannot get remote (MCE) to work - doesn't respond to any buttons. E.G. I use tray-launcher to start MP but with 3018 the "Remote Button" learn function times out (where it would normally report: Received: DVD)

Have gone back to 2975 but can reinstall & provide logs if that would help?

Logs are always very very helpful!
You didn't mention which type of receiver you are using. If it's a iMON please step in to https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...65/imon-support-66786/index11.html#post487168.

thanks belcom, logs now attached. I am using MS eHome receiver with RC6 remote.

Since Vista i have always done things in this order:
    1-install MP
    2-install IRSS
3-make sure all remotes are disabled in MP-config
4-set up Input Service Configuaration NOT to disable Windows Media Centre Services
5-set up tray launcher to start MP from a button on remote
6-delete the 4 CodeSetNum values with regedit
    7-reboot

maybe i need to do something else as this new version of IRSS seems so different?

as this new version of IRSS seems so different?

Is not your fault but a bug in code...maybe due to the x86 new compile option.

    Code:

I would also like to know if you have a X10 remote configured/installed because:

    Code:
    2009-07-19 12:06:20.832200 - Info:	Receiver plugin started: "X10"
