Hi,

trying to get my Mac Mini with a Logitech Harmony One to work.
But i´m lost

Have enabled the Mac Mini IR Receiver
The Harmony is setup as a MCE Remote. (That works fine when i use a MCE Remote Receiver @Mac Mini)

The IRSS Setup has detectet the Mini Receiver but what´s next?
Can i somewhere test the Receiver?

I think you'll find some errors in your log. We are still trying to get this plugin working, but it's not that east without the hardware.

Hello!

I got the same problem as i have seen other Imon users in this thread, the "Failed to get open device" problem.
I have installed the latest compilation of IR server with no luck. Anyone got a clue? Logs attached.

so my guess is that you have some other software taking exclusive access to the HID device...

So, if i activate "Mac Mini" in the IRSS Setup and then in the MP IRSS Plugin Config use MCE Remote, it should work?

New version uploaded.

Please remove old version completly ( second checkbox in uninstall page ) by double clicking on c:\Program Files\IR Suite Server\Uninstall IR Suite Server.exe
and report issues only about that latest build once you are able to attach logs.

Hi,

I am still having the same problem of TV3 Blaster configuration not showing TV Server Configuration. After adding the TV3 blaster to the plugins, I clicked on the TV 3 Blaster. I get a brief rotating blue/green circle and then nothing happens. I was expecting to see the configuration screen on the right side of TV server Configuration windows.

I am attaching the new log files. The logs are taken from the newest build of IRSS 1.4.2 build 3120. I also have problem with MP. It just does not start. I am not sure if that is a problem that needs to be taken care of first.

Please help.

I think you miss the step to "create IR file" in Winlirc configure of IRSS. But I have not the hardware to test it here and didn't use WinLirc never so I may be wrong.

Hi, tried 3120 last night, and it seems fine. I have had a long standing issue with an error message coming up occasionally for a while, but it's very intermitant. I did copy my config over from my old setup (macros, events etc) so I haven't re-learnt anything, maybe not a proper test.

One thing I noticed, if I got to test an IR command, it will only blast the command if I select "both" as the IR ports, if I select IR 1 or IR 2, it doesn't blast out of either. This is with the MCE tranceiver, probably minor, but I thought I'd mention it.

I notice that I could use X10, a WIIMote, and now there are voice commands - can I make a suggestion that the forum is split with sub-forums for each of these configurations so we can have discussions about these separately? It might even be an idea to have a "Show us how you use IRSS" forum to propagate good ideas?
