Hi all!

Thank you very much for developing this plugin, it seems to work great!

In my actual configuration I have an iMon PAD IR (iMON Station :(:() controlled by the Harmony 880 remote, but I can't use it well because I suffered from double clicking and other stuff. Some time ago I tried this plugin with the iMon Station IR (configuring the Harmony as an MCE remote) but it didn't work because the IR firmware is different from other iMon IR receiver.

Now I want to use my Harmony as it should work and I am thinking of buying an MCE remote control. I had a look at ebay and this is what I have seen:

PC Remote Control +HP USB IR Receiver Windows Vista MCE en venta en eBay.es (finaliza el 24-nov-09 16:52:44 H.Esp)

It looks that the IR receiver is the original one that HP uses for its computer, so I think that it should be compatible with Mediaportal out of the box using Windows 7 (configuring the Harmony as an MCE remote, of course).

What do you think, guys? If the IR receiver isn't compatible with mediaportal using the default driver, can I use the IRSS plugin to control our favourite program with the Harmony remote and the HP IR receiver? Has anybody tried this combination?

When I try to install the latest IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2.3129 I get continuous error messages when opening the IR Setup or even MediaPortal Configuration

"IR Server Configuration has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I scrolled through this thread but I didn't find other cases, is this a known issue?

    No, this is not a known issue.
    But if you can provide more details (i.e. operating system, ...) and logs we may can help you.

    @all: do we really have to remid you all the time to provide logs?

    Here's a new version of MiniDisplay.
    Only some internal code changes but please if a couple of guys could test it. :D

    PS: newest SVN of MP is recommended.

    No, this is not a known issue.
    But if you can provide more details (i.e. operating system, ...) and logs we may can help you.

    Sorry for not providing the logs. I'm currently at work, I'll try to post more info and logs tonight.

    Just wanted to give a quick headsup:

    I am using the latest version with an iMon USB Receiver:

    Seems to work very well by now, no double-click issues any more. Many of the buttons on the remote not mapped yet though...

    Hi all - as a new user of IRSS a big :D for this plugin. For all those using MCE Remote (RC6) that came with Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 150 MCE kit, I can tell you I have this working perfectly now using IRSS 1.4.2, thanks to a lot of help from Skoka123.

    The main trick that worked for me was to remove all the WinTV software including the blaster software that came with my PVR-150 card. I used hcwclear that comes with WinTV software to remove all traces. Before I did that, blasting would not work - I did not even get blinking lights.

    The second trick for me was disabling the MCE Remote in MP Config, as indicated in the Wiki on setting up blasting.

    Then I followed the WIKI Instructions exactly and it works. It's a miracle!

    Now I can't wait to delve into the arcane features of all the other plugins in the Suite :)

    Ok I'll try to give as much info on this as possible:

    OS: WinXP (completely updated)
    MP: 1.1.0 latest SVN
    Remote: IRTrans (OrigenAE case, VFD210)

    Today I did a complete reinstall of IRSS 1.4.2.3129 and the same problem occurs.

    Installation goes fine but as soon as I try to enter the setup of IRSS I get an error message (see screenshot for details).

    When I start MP configuration I get the same error message, when I deinstall IRSS again no error message when opening MP-configuration.

    I can't find any log files in the IR Server Suite directory, should they be there or do I need to look somewhere else?

    I hope I provided some more info now.
