SOLVED - IR Learning for Pioneer BA-V2000C

I'm reinstalling IRSS - Test Build 1.4.2.2975 right now... will see if that does the trick. Thanks again for all your help today!

Man!! Aren't desperate to get this bugger working!!!

All the best.

:D Great news - I got it working! I updated the device driver for my tuner card and uninstalled/reinstalled IRSS 1.4.2.2975. It has now learned all my IR codes and can blast them. YAY! I have created an XML and a corresponding folder for the Set Top Boxes folder within IRSS (see attached). Perhaps they can be included in the next release?

Bad news is that now I don't have signal level or signal quality inside the TV Server control panel for my card. Tried scanning for channels but no response. I think its a device driver issue. Solved one problem just for another to pop up. :(

Thanks for all your help, Skoka123! And thanks for taking a look at the code, Chemelli!

Congratulations on clearing the first hurdle.

The signal level and quality will not show up the first time. I don't think it really matters. Just click on analog scan (I don't think this is required either but I generally do this step). Go ahead and define your channel line up as described in the wiki and preview your channels. You should see your STB changing channels. Once you restart TV server config you should see the signal level and quality in green.

STB not changing channels during preview

 My STB is not changing channels when I preview. The only channel I can get to preview is Channel 3, and it previews whatever channel the STB is on. If I try to preview other channels, I get the following error: Preview failed:NoSignalDetected. When I test the IR commands from within the plugin, they work great, but for some reason when MP should be changing the channel, it isn't.

I've followed your fantastic wiki to the letter - with the exception of "CVBS #1" in the Source... when I added the channel, I put in Tuner as the source.

I've attached screenshots of the relevant config windows and both the IRSS and MP logs. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I think that is your problem. The source has to be anything but Tuner. Aren't you using the STB? If you see, all your channels are "tuned" to some frequency or the other. If I am correct, your TV card is not doing the tuning. It is the STB that does it.

Try CVBS #1 or #2 or whatever and let us know the progress.

If I am correct your setup should be very similar to mine (the one in the wiki). So, you shouldn't be needing to make anything different from the Wiki.

Ok - that makes sense. However, I've tried each and every one of the other options under Source. When I click on Preview, the IR blaster blasts the STB, but I get a blue screen in the preview window and no sound. Any ideas?

Hmm... I had this problem of bluescreen with audio on CVBS#1. When I choose CVBS#2 it works OK. I think you just have to try other inputs or 'add S-Video Channel' as in this screenshot (IRServerSuite/SetTopBox blasting in MediaPortal - MediaPortal Manual Documentation)

Post your TV-Server logs. May be someone will be able to look into the problem.

I tried each input option in the drop-down list and tried the 'Add S-Video Channel' - with no success. I still get the blue screen with no audio when I attempt to preview the channel. Attached are my TV Server logs. As always, any assistance is *greatly* appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!
