Do you mean if you don't have the PC connected to the Internet - whether by cable or by wireless?

no...i mean hooking up cable to a tuner card....I have a tuner card, but can't find it, but I was just curious what the listings would look like.

    I don't fully understand sorry?

If you mean get the EPG if you don't have internet access then it can be grabbed via the digital TV stream if you get digital.

the methods in order of ease of use are:

    Digital TV stream
    Download from Internet
Download from Internet on another PC and copy the TVGuide.xml from there to your MP PC.

Hope that helps, give some more information if you want me to go into further details. Otherwise, there is a whole forum dedicated to EPG and you will most likely find your answers in there. You'll also need to tell us which country you are in...

    Yes.

The TV guide info is grabbed from the internet, not your cable connecton. You dont even need a TV tuner installed to get EPG (Electronic Program Guide) data.

Not saying Marcusb's link is bad, but since you live in the US, this link may be more user friendly for you: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?t=16034

It's a little plugin that you install to automatically keep you EPG up to date. It's an excellent little side project by one of the developers, and quite a few of us are using it here successfully.

Hi This is a general question about OnX. I have been using the TvWishList plugin for a while and have recently updated (update install) from MP 1.36 x86 to 1.37 x86 and found there seemed to be no Onx menu in the TV guide. I then configured the onx.presets.xml file like I would normally do with updates or fresh installs, but still...

Thank you for pointing out that my analysis may be less than accurate. :p Although the change to TV channel 71 may not also have been applied to the independent radio channels (different MUXes), the logs that I prepared for one of the development team does show a difference between channel 704 ("BBC Radio 4") and channel 731...
