Since I changed a client from NVIDIA to Intel HD graphics 3000 I'm looking for the best codec to replace LAV CUVID I was using.

The latest LAV (50.1) allows the selection of quick sync as h/w acceleration. That works, but it introduces burst of severe pixelation. So for now I'm using the Microsoft HDTV-DVD codec.

Is anybody successfully using quick sync with LAV? on what hardware?

    Hi!

I used the LAV filters with quick sync acceleration and didn't notice any drawbacks. Nonetheless I switched to DXVA2 for reason I forgot and stayed there as it works flawless with everything I throw at it. Hardware is also a HD3000 (i3 2105).

...but it introduces burst of severe pixelation.

What a pitty I was looking forward to installing this after I spent hours of clicking through pages of different forums.
Guess I'll give it a try anyway...

Let us know if quick sync works for you, I'm on LAV DXVA2 now and have no trouble.

Lavf is with working with my HD 3000 Core i3.

I have only a Problem with my Tuner Card. But this is another Story.

Can you be more precise. Which h/w acceleration in LAV do you use?

    Sorry for the Delay.

    I' m using a core i3 with HD 3000 and Intel quicksync on a MSI Z68 mainboard.
There are no problems with 720p and 1080i TV
I have nothing special done, only activated in the Lavf configuration the hardware acceleration.

I have only a problem with my Dual Tuner Card (cine S2).
Only one Tuner is working with HDTV, the second Tuner has dropped bytes, but this
    not a client problem.

    Regards

    Hi guys,

I have an Intel core i3 (2105 => HD3000) on an ASRock H67 as well. When I try to use the Intel Quick Sync hardware decoder it tells me that it is not available. I haven't set up the BIOS yet (don't have a keyboard at the moment :)). So do I have to enable it in the BIOS first?

Are there any other settings that you could recommend? I'm still not really satisfied with the TV quality (had a Humax iCord HD before) - Now I'm on a Mystique Satix-S2 sky xpress dual DVB-S2 Twin Tuner card.

What are your best settings for SD & HD TV?

Thank you very much in advance!
