So I had just a quick test on your new filter :)
Looks like you improved the time again a bit ;) Great work! If you would get it still quicker that would be fantastic^^
But there is still the problem that MP sometimes needs a long time to open the .ts file:

    20-08-2011 21:35:51.409 [cdc]start:0 end:352f446 619.645020
it took MP 3 minutes to start the video!

Another version to try - with a few experiments, so please report any problems etc :)

I don't really have any idea why it's taking so long, but TsReader just seems to think the data is corrupted....

Is this playing a local file, or over the network ?

Thanks for your new version :)
But it looks like this version is a step back compared to the previous version ;)
Things that may has changed compared to mod7 (not so sure yet):
    - less HDD load
    - needs more time to jump over the corruption

Yesterday I was watching live Tv with mod7 and had no issues so far, I would say starting live Tv was much faster as before, but maybe it is related to the new MP version...

It is a local file ~575MB big. The first time it needed a long time to start (see first log), the second time it started immediately (see log "..._2..").

Can you try the attached version to see if it fixes the long startup problem ?

    Tony

(From the logs, it looks like it's taking a long time to get the initial file duration, so I've tweaked the code...)

    Owlsroost,

I did a very quick test this morning, with version 9; and when i reinsert the card, almost instantly audio/video comes back and are in sync.
I will test this further this day, and post some logs..
Anyway thanks for those awesome modifications!

Okay, I tested your new Version :p

    1. TsReader-2011-08-22_1.Log:

    1.1 Startuptime: => improved from 3 minutes to 45 seconds => good improvement^^
    22-08-2011 11:21:09.013 [f08]demux:confused:tart() end1 BytesProcessed:513240
    22-08-2011 11:21:54.104 [f08]start:0 end:352f446 619.645020

1.2 continue after corruption (with my standard test file):
=> better than mod8, but slower than mod 7
and one note to the first corruption in my standard test file: MP stopped playing at the corruption, showed one or two frames, stopped again, continued until the next corruption

    2. TsReader-2011-08-22_2.log

2.1 watching live Tv with MDAPI, disconnected network connection => freezes => plug cable in again => after 6 seconds continued
2.2 disconnected again => freezes => inserted smart card into cam => continued after ~ 6 seconds
2.3 ejected card (was in Cam) => freezes => inserted again => continued after ~6 seconds

    3. TsReader-2011-08-22_3.log

3.1 Smartcard is in the Cam => ejected card => freezes => reinserted card => continued after 6 seconds :)

    Conclusion:
Still some problems with the standard test file (the unsplitted file which I uploaded to the ftp ;) ), but almost no problems during live Tv, that should be the most important :p

You really really improved TsReader! I don't know what to say other than 1000 times thank you :)

    One question:
Could logging be a problem that TsReader takes sometimes long to recover etc.?
Because if you have a console application and you have a print to screen in a loop the loop takes significant longer than without the print to screen. I guess you already know that, but that is just a question of interest :)
