Hi,

I've been using MediaPortal 1.2.3 successfully on Windows XP since its release. Now, with release 1.4.0 and the upcoming 1.5, I've decided to go with a fresh new install of Windows 7 32-bit and MediaPortal 1.4.0. Everything is working fine except the TV part. Live TV is not working and so is recordings. I have 2 analog tuners, Hauppauge PVR-150 and PVR-350 (those are the same tuners used in my Windows XP installation). Both tuners are recognized by MediaPortal TV server. I can scan for channels successfully and even see "previews" of channels. The PVR-350 has a radio tuner and live radio is working fine in MediaPortal 1.4.0.

I've tried my tuners with Windows 7 Media Center and both are working fine for live TV and recordings.

I've attached all the relevant log files and my system specs are up-to-date.

Thanks,

Benoit

If I choose "TV" from the basic home menu of MediaPortal, it switches to the TV screen, where it's supposed to show Live TV on the right (my configuration is set to "TV On" when I switch to Live TV) and choices on the left side of the screen like "TV Guide", "Search TV guide", "Recorded TV", etc. Instead, choices are shown on the left but live TV on the right stays black. The option "TV On" is switched On. If I turn OFF and ON the "TV On" setting, the "Live TV" part remains black, no image and no sound either.

Well, for a start it looks like MP is trying to autoplay a radio channel in the TV section... so you might expect not to see any video.
There is certainly an error in your log files though at this point it isn't clear exactly what is causing it.
What happens if you select a TV channel the "old fashioned way", then stop TV, then restart MP and immediately go into TV?

In the logs I sent, I did try the "Radio" features of PVR-350 and it worked perfectly. When I try to select a TV channel by entering it's channel number with the remote, all that is happening is the "beep" played by MediaPortal when an MCE remote button is pressed, but nothing is displayed. I've attached a screenshot of the display. Whatever I do (channel up, channel down, directly enter channel number, pressing "OK"), the display remains the same but I can hear the sound effect associated with remote button pressed.

Yes, that will not select a channel.

What I meant is use the "Chaine" menu to select the channel from the mini-guide with arrows and OK/enter.

Maybe we're getting somewhere. When I select "Chaine", the display stays "frozen" like my previous post (no mini-guide displayed) but, when I use the remote, I can hear the sound associated to all my remote key press. At that point, I can no longer browse back to any menu or Basic Home. The only way to exit MediaPortal is to click the top right red "X" of the window.

Right, okay. Can you please post fresh debug log files so we can analyse what happens when you do this.
