Hi,
Unfortunately my main bug when starting TV on my HTPC isn't solved with MP 1.2.0. Beta. Most of the time, when i want starting watch TV, Mediaportal gives me a live2.0.ts.tsbuffer exception. Mostly a restart of the tvService and Mediaportal solves this, but sometimes a restart of the whole PC is necessary.
It would be great if you find a solution for this

It is quite obvious from your logs that you're using MDAPI. It doesn't look like that is a factor, however we have strict rules about MDAPI - we do not provide support unless the issue can be reproduced without MDAPI. Please disable MDAPI and attempt to reproduce the issue. If you're able to do that then please post new logs. Use "debug mode" if you're able to - it gives us more information about what codecs you have installed and what operating system you're using etc...

I'll report if the error occures again with disabled mdapi. I already set up the log verbosity to "DEBUG", is there another option?

UPDATE: Just uninstalled MDApiFilter. Restarted the TVServer and tried to start TV Stream, but there is the same error again. You only have to look at the log entries after 12:05, as the MDApi has been uninstalled at this time. Mediaportal Log Verobosity is set to debug, if I can provide any further logs, let me know

I'm not the best person for solving MP client problems (this does seem to be an MP client or TV plugin problem). From your logs, the problem seems to be:

Could you please try the attached DLL. I've added extra log information to try to track down where the problem is occurring.

Instructions:
1. Close MP.
2. Take a backup of the Core.dll file in your MP install folder.
3. Download and extract the attached Core.dll into your MP install folder.
4. Use debug mode to try and reproduce the problem again.
5. Post logs when you're able to reproduce.

You should attach the core.pdb file (debugging symbols) also.
This way we get line numbers in the stack trace for that specific null pointer exception.

I just did a first test, and it seemed to work quite well. Nevertheless i had a "No signal" error, which has been solved with switching to another channel and back again. If you are interested in "what's happened", I've attached the logs.
gibman: I couldn't found a file named core.pdb - If you need it please tell me the path.

I will go on testing with this core.dll and will report in some days if the error occured again or if it has been solved.

So for now, I'm very grateful for this and hope to give you positive feedback in the next post ;-)

I'm surprised because the DLL that I gave you only added some debug. If the earlier error occurs again then please let us know, otherwise it is safe to keep using the DLL that I gave you. As for the "no signal" error. It looks like that happened almost immediately after the server resumed from sleep, and that could be part of the cause...

I think gibman's comment was directed at me, so don't worry about it.

I'm sorry to disappoint you mm
After some more testing the error came back again but I think we get a few more insights. After I've done the first test in debug mode, (see at my last post), i switched back to the normal mode. Unfortunately the error came up again. I stepped back to debug mode to get more detailled infos for you, but no error occured. So all I can give you are the logs with debug verbosity. I hope they help though.

UPDATE:
Just to point it out: The error doesn't occur in debug mode. In debug TV works fine. But in the normal Mediaportal mode (non-debug), I get the known live2-0.ts.tsbuffer error

Restarting Mediaportal and TVServer didn't solve the bug. After restarting windows, everything works as it should. Just as Information for you.

Could something have been locking your soundcard and preventing MP from using it?

I notice in the error log you have plugins marked as incompatible:

How have you managed to get an incompatible PowerScheduler plugin installed - shouldn't that have been upgraded when you installed MP 1.2.0b? Something about that and the fact that debug mode doesn't have any problems seems suspicious to me. You have quite a few plugins installed. Could one of them be to blame?
