Thanks mm for your reply, in spite of the time. It's not necessary to keep up that long, only because of this bug ;-)

It's really strange, that the debug mode doesn't give me any exception. What would you recommend:
Reinstall Mediaportal, Reinstall Windows (x64, x86), Just delete/deactivate some plugins?

I've installed my Windows more than a year ago, so maybe it's no bad idea to reinstall it.

I know it's Offtopic, but maybe you as very experienced mediaportal user could give me another advice and let me know if it's worth to investigate some more money in a new CPU or even GPU? Then I could upgrade my system and reinstall windows at once.

I agree about debug mode. How often does MP crash or show exceptions in normal mode, and how much did you try debug mode?

You could try deactivating all your plugins and then reactivating them one by one and testing that there are no problems. If you find the problems start when you reactivate a particular plugin and go away when you deactivate that plugin then you know you will have found the cause of the problems. Reinstalling MP or Windows seems radical, but you're welcome to try it if you have the time to do it.

I don't know if I'm the right person to advise you about this, and I think the answer really depends on what you use the system for. Just to give you an idea: I use a Core2 e6600 2.4 GHz with an Asus P5W DH Deluxe (975x), 4 x 1GB RAM, and HD 4670. Although those parts are getting a little old, I'm totally satisfied with my system - it does everything I want. :)

    Hi mm,
sorry for the delay, i was a little bit busy the last days.

So until now I've got no new insight and no further testing results but I will report if i found the plugin or any solution for solving this problem.

best regards and thank you very much for everything ;)

Ok, so its me again. I would like you to have a look at the new log Ive attached. I guess there are maybe interesting informations inside, as i had a look into it.

    especially this part:
2011-06-16 23:56:34.564115 [Info.][(21)]: render exception:confused:ystem.NullReferenceException: Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt.
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIAnimation.Render(Single timePassed)
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIButtonControl.Render(Single timePassed)
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIControl.DoRender(Single timePassed, UInt32 currentTime)
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIGroup.Render(Single timePassed)
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIControl.DoRender(Single timePassed, UInt32 currentTime)
    bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindow.Render(Single timePassed)

Until now i couldn't test that much as i hoped, too much work. I hope i can do a bunch of tests at the coming we.
Next time I will try it with the default MP skin, as im currently using Mustayaluca Beta.
    Will report soon...

    kind regards
    Seppi
