I think Some LNBs have 2 LOFs an upper and lower LOF. the swtich is which LOF to choose:
LOF1 = 9750Mhz
Switch=12671Mhz
LOF2=10600Mhz
So anything 12671Mhz and above would use LOF2 frequency.
Again this is my understanding and I may totaly incorrect! When I configured my Medialportal with tvengine 0.2; since I only had one LOF frequency, I set LOF1 and LOFSW to "0" and set LOF2 to 11300.
Yeah I think I'm wrong about that. I think you are right the; switch frequency should be the frequency to switch the LNB. I'm not sure about the 4x4 switch does that have a different frequency for each LNB you want to switch to? In tvserver I think the switch frequency is only intended to switch between 2 ranges on a single LNB. Actually the tvserver lnb override options are farily inflexable, it was a better setup in TV2 since the setting were per LNB. tvserver assumes that all your LNBs are the same. I suggest you use your diseqc switch. It will work with your skystar 2 but only if you use the WDM driver not the BDA. (I have a ss2 and have used it with a diseqc swtich). another way you might be able to get it working is to scan the channels in manualy with out the switch (just switching cables then go into each channel and specify the switch options for each channel. might work?
I'm sure the devs will be happy to expand the LNB options to allow all individual settings for each lnb but I don't want to hassel any of them about it right now, I think they are very busy and have higher priority things on the go atm.
Cheers,
