    Hi,

Using a Hauppauge HVR4400, when I try to tune a channel, I get "No Signal".
If I look into the log file, I see
    Code:
Hauppauge: SendDiseq returned: 0x8007001F - A device attached to the system is not functioning.

It also accurs when I try to scan channels, but not all the times.

    Code:
    2012-09-21 13:11:49.620663 [(18)]: Hauppauge: SendDiseq: 0xE0 0x10 0x38 0xF4 0x4 0x0 0x3 0x1 0x1 0x3 0x1
2012-09-21 13:11:49.622662 [(18)]: Hauppauge: SendDiseq returned: 0x8007001F - A device attached to the system is not functioning.
    Sometimes, it goes just fine
    Code:
    2012-09-21 13:14:20.307543 [(18)]: Hauppauge: SendDiseq: 0xE0 0x10 0x38 0xF4 0x4 0x0 0x3 0x1 0x1 0x3 0x1
    2012-09-21 13:14:20.669543 [(18)]: dvb:Submiting tunerequest Channel: subChannel:0
These two log segments were created during the same "Scanning for new station" session.
    I scan 19.2°E Astra sat.
    tp 1->21 doens't work
    tp 22->65 OK
    tp 66->103 doesn't work
After the scan, if I try to preview a channel I get the "No Signal Detected" message and the "A device attached to the system is not functioning." in the log even I the channel I try to preview is on a transponder the was successfully scanned a few minute earlier.
You can fin the TV.LOG attached. I contains
    - Open setupTV
    - Scan for channel on diseq SimpeB
    - try to preview "La Deux"
I use the last available Hauppauge driver and I have no problem at all in ProgDVB.
    Thanks for your help :)

    Here is another log.
This is a scan to find channel on both lnb. It is strange to see that the first LNB is sometimes faulty to receive diseq command but it looks random.
The second LNB is faulty by block (it works for 20 try then doesn't for the next 25 etc.).
After the scan, I tried to preview "La Deux" that was discovered during the scan (it is located on a transponder that was succesfully scanned) but get the same error.
You could find the log of all this operation here :)

    Hello Jean-Christophe

I have an HVR-4400 for testing, and I have observed this same thing - error 0x8007001F.
I know what the problem is but I can't easily provide a patch for you unless you upgrade to MP 1.3.x.

If you tell me it works under MP 1.3 beta, it is enough for me to go for it.
Will it be possible to upgrade to the final version? I'll check for the release notes and the plugin compatibility.

Thanks for the feedback anyway :)

    OK, thanks.

Up to now, I will keep it like this.

I have 3 dvb-S card. No one is fully supported by MP.

Avermedia A700 has a great zapping time but Diseq is not supported
Hauppauge HVR4400 is the same (Diseq is supported but is having random problem)
TechnoTrend S2-3650-CI works but CI is not supported by the poor driver.

    I feel unlucky...

    I wouldn't blame you!

If I were you, I would take a chance on what I'm about to offer...

I am offering to provide you with a link to an installer for the branch of MP and TV Server that I am working on.
It is based on MP 1.3 alpha.

    It will:
    1. Almost certainly give DiSEqC 1.0 4 port switch support for your AVerMedia tuner (works for my AVerMedia Trinity).
    2. Will fix DiSEqC for your Hauppauge (works for my Hauppauge HVR-4400).
    3. Should give you the configuration options to improve the performance of your TT tuner... and if it doesn't, I will help to try and get stable performance from this tuner. I know the driver is bad but there are at least a few things we can try.

I will be up front: the big down side to this is that it will not be upgradeable.
The goal is to integrate these improvements in MP at some point in the future.
There are already some people using this version of MP, including me.
The more people who can test and provide feedback, the better.

    What do you think?

    Hello radical

Unfortunately I don't understand German but from Google translate I think you're saying that you have seen a problem when testing with HD channels.
I'm confused because I don't see any failed tunings. Are you able to explain what you mean in English?
I ask this because I'm not sure whether my branch will help you.
The errors in your error.log file at the start of the test could be due to trying to initialise the tuners at the same time.
This would be a driver issue.
