If I recall correctly, the analog tuner has its own volume control which you should be able to access through the windows control panel (sounds section). Have a dig around in there for something like a "716..." or "Hauppauge..." sound device, and try pumping the volume up for that device.
In other words, the "base" volume control for analog tuners is not in MP or TV Server settings. You can adjust the volume to a degree in MP, but you're capped by the Windows setting.
Dident find anything except the basic devices like.. line in, microphone, realtek speaker.
Are those settings really involved when streaming to a client for example? Tought they was on higher level...
Well thanks for trying, i will look around see if i can find anything and post solution if i do.
Cheers and tanks for a great software
The volume control in control panel would control the volume of the hardware analog audio input for analog TV, FM and external inputs.
It would affect the volume in all applications... but only the volume of the aforementioned inputs. Music and other video volumes would not be affected.
This low volume level would carry right the way through to all the clients because MP is effectively recording the volume at the low level.
Thanks for posting your solution
I guess the Hauppauge card is slightly different to mine which are based on the same chipset family but have software encoders.
Glad you got it sorted.
Hi Ge2301
Thanks for the help
I tried the suggestion but it didnt help - however the issue is sorted now. - it seems that
it was just that the server needed a restart (even though there was no indication in Windows) - as soon as I started both clients (one reparied as above, one not) both started working right away.
(I would have...

I have a reasonably modern HTPC setup: LG OLED77, Pioneer AV-Receiver SC LX901, 7.1 Klipsch speaker setup and a PC with nice specs with MP 1.30. Everything connected with HDMI.
I have lav-filters setup to bitstream EVERY format. If I don't do this, I get a very unimpressive result from all my sources: very low volume, use of only a...

It’s technically not possible to combine the library and folder view. This is also the case for other HTPC softwares I fear. The media can quickly organized by filters, sorting etc., it’s not about fanart. The folder view is meant just as a basic navigation feature.

OK, so I took a deep dive in the logs myself (gotta start to learn sometime) and noticed an error about Gentle.config
Opened the file and it was full of NULLs. Not good for an XML file.
I found an old thread (gentle.config) which had some 11-years-old XML. On the off-chance that this could fix my problem, I cut-and-pasted it into...
