I was running v217 during the weekend, lots of TV and one 3D movie.
Tests were done with my AMD GPU and so far i couldnt find a major issue. On 3D stop for me it always reverts back to default Hz and No 3D, in other words it works as supposed.
Of course there are minor things like a bit slow stop on Live TV but i am still investigating this one.
Previously i had huge delays after a stop. Sometimes it would never actually stop, i was left with a black screen. I then did some changes on the TV Server side and my STOP has greatly imporved.
While working on it i tried to figure out what did i change, but since i was making changes for other issues i didnt keep track of them although i suspect that the last setting i altered was reverting from Pause Graph to Stop Graph in my tuner settings on TV Server.
It is worth a try if u currently have it on Pause rather than Stop.
    Just an idea.

    Hi Kotik,

do you use the Crimson driver or the old Catalyst? Your movie is frame packed (Blu Ray) or side by side? Moreover, the 3D reverts back to default when you stop the movie during the playback or at the end of the movie itself?

    Thanks,

    C.

I believe Kotik is still using the Catalyst drivers.:cautious: With my old AMD GPU I had the option of using both Catalyst and Crimson. When I used Crimson and played 3D the refresh rate was not reset from 23-50hz after stop (23hz non-3D vids do reset to 50hz, did not try running 3D till the end though) but 3D mode did appear to turn off, with the Catalyst drivers there was no problem, also no problem with 3D when playing with MPC-HC with either driver type. I now have an AMD RX 460 installed so the Catalyst drivers are no longer an option.

    UPDATE:-

How do you determin that MP is still in 3D mode?

Yes, I confirm that is a MP/Madvr/Crimson issue. I hope that Seb can fix it.
About your question, I think that it's not possible to not see the difference (display much brigher, out of focus, etc.). Anyway, my display confirm with a message when it's in 3D mode.

OK just double checking in my case it is just the refresh rate not resetting (3D indicator on TV goes out and 2D vids play normallly).

I fear that like MP take time to release madVR, crimson need to take action directly (maybe i'm not sure) for ex MPC-HC in c++ release madVR directly.
There is some hidden function in madVR that can maybe fix something but not sure.

    v121
Everything including 3D plays OK, I did get a black screen hang on starting BBC1 live in OLV, it briefly (1-2 secs) played audio without vid. then stopped with black screen and I had to kill MP via the Task Manager, see attached logs. Subsequent attempts to play live BBC1 and other content in OLV all worked OK so far.
    My3 outstanding problems seem unchanged
    1) Stop times in TVS/OLV etc extend derpending on length of playback.
    2) Flickering OSD on some vids.
    3) Refresh rate not returning from 23 to 50hz after 3d play with aMD Crimson video drivers.
