thank you for the suggestion, but it seems is ignoring those setting when output is 10 bit, they are applyed only when madvr switchs to windowed 8 bit mode. yesterday i saw there is a amd driver update and also i saw i'm on madvr913 but there is a new 915, so i hope making those upgrades change something. during weekend i'll try.

I've found the source of my problem, i was using lav in native and not in copy-back, now (cb) it is possible to use color & gamma setting to adjust 10bit output mode.

now i would like to describe my actual problem:

start tv o video in mp (madvr starts in exclusive mode 10 bit)
press windows button (madvr goes to windowed 8bit)
click on MP (madvr stays in windows mode doesn't swith to exclusive anymore i have to stop and start the video)

if i do the same in mpc hc
start video (madvr starts in exclusive mode 10 bit)
press windows button (madvr goes to windowed 8bit)
send mpc hc in fullscreen (madvr goes back in exclusive mode 10 bit)

are you experiencing the same behavior?

as soon as possible i'll post logs, but I would to know if i can use my actual v267 installation or you want me to upgrade v280 before sending logs ?

It happen here but if i focus back to MP it goes to exclusive back (V280) so if you can try both version with logs

unfortunately, it doesn't go back to efs also with v280

start MP
play a video file
press Windows button
click on MP

on v280 afer click on MP i tried also

go to window atl+enter
go to fulls creen alt+enter

below the logs.

I just tested and it get back to exclusive on HTPC, so not sure why it didn't do for you

For testing can you try to disable power scheduler and also activate this option : (Ignore Windows .....)

If you can reproduce it, if you can take logs and a video but i will surely not be able to reproduce it

i was able to reproduce it this time even on a client ... strange dxva

here the new logs of v280 , i've disabled powersheduler and the ignore option was already checked.

did u use that option on purpose or random
i tried ya steps and madVR also complains with a osd msg. -exclusive failed, maybe it only gets displayed with stats open idk.
but it seems if ya use dx11 and this option ticked it wont work. but if ya use dx9 or untick it with dx11 it should work again

ehehehe, I think I used on purpose i had some strange behavior when change input in my AVR from htpc to tv then again htpc, mp seems doesn't came back at the right resolution. after that seems no more the issue, but it could be a placebo effect
