In fact, the code @Stéphane Lenclud broke my change related to doesn't display all mode we need ,on DEV i have set no device in Auto3D and then i can manually switch on the mode i want lol.
Need to know why and able to change that

Ok i have pushed the change and need to be tested
So i have reverted and added some code to be able to have 2D back on stop.
I have tested HID and MCE remote control it works but somehow pressing the second time the button to display the context menu didn't remove it.
I have let the code for assign a key because we can use it too

no problems with pressing manual selection key twice to remove but it seems always active even if you only ticked for video

i still use numpad 5

auto detection is pretty solid...on par with evr^^ but another new strange thing on 3d videos
if the auto3d detection popup shows up it also blacks the screen briefly just like a short black screen, but only if madvr exclusive mode is enabled (same with mad drc and mepo hack drc^^).
and 3d mvc with fse enabled, framepacked was also strange on the firstruns (video started - 3d detection from tv - it plays but the picture disappears after 2-3 sec... ) some additional runs worked but not the first, so i tried it also a bit with windowed and there it worked always on first runs..

Thanks for testing, i'm not sure to following you about only ticket for video ?
About the black screen, it's the DRR kick in (it will always kick in even if no drr set in MP/or madVR), it's to force the resolution change based on movie fps but ofc to change the resolution to 1080p.

Do you have log for this ?

@daWooky does it happen also if you disable the Auto3D notification ?

Just that the key for auto 3d seems always enabled.
I ticked only video not tv in the options

Yep :

Show selection menu if key „CTRL+D“ is pressed
Opens the selection menu anytime to switch into the desired mode. This makes sense if you watch a 2D movie and the TV supports 2D/3D conversion. Via the menu you can then select the 2D/3D conversion mode to view the video in pseudo 3D. The hotkey can be changed to any desired value. Just click into the field and enter the desired combination. Instead of the Keyboard it is also possible to use a MCE 2005 remote.

It seems to be always available, i didn't see in code that TV or video override it
