About the Ares skin, i have seen this with related with Ares update and not sure how i have fixed it, but i have so it's skin related

Sorry, the verse 479 and files do not work either.
479 without change:
-HD picture stands, starts to fast-forward.
-UHD picture error message, MadVR picture 1
-MP only small, picture 2

479 without FCU:
-UHD: Picture stands, starts to fast-forward, high CPU, picture 3
-HD: worked, but only 2x tested

479 new files, with FCU:
UHD / HD error message MadVR, picture 1

479 without FCU new files:
HD: to be started 2x or more
UHD error message MadVR, picture 1

It also does not seem to work with the frequency, start movie, then change the frequency, then start again etc.

i have played around with the cpu load before and it seemed that the graphics driver recently had to be set to maximum performance not to adaptive...maybe it will help but in general the load of the graphics memory with mepo is somehow pretty high also with evr. maybe theres some mem.leak somewhere in it...but @grabi_2001 if ya have a nvidia card you can try with nv driver set up like in the settings see here, maybe the high cpu load changes. gl

the CPU load is at vers. 471 and last current MP version in the green area.
That can not really be the reason, whereby I also suspect the drivers. But I've tested all sorts of 'nv drivers, old and new ... the result is the same .....
The interaction with drivers, Microsoft, MadVR, MP, various updates, MS alone, is now so shitty that I soon no longer bother on the Shit, and that after years of MP.
You're only testing, upgrading, finding bugs, etc.
Whether mobile phone, tablets, computer, work and private.

i want to share that on my system v473 is going great, two days with family using tv , zero complains.

Seems that the 472 dshowhelper is causing the crash of madvr at start of tv and videos
473 (I've put only the fontengine dll on 471) that doesn't have this modded dshowhelper is always not crashing.

a question: the subsequent versions have all the direchshowhelper from 472 ?

Yep it should works the change are based for the pause code so worth a try

v479 + dsh471 : at least with this dsh i can start tv, but i get black screen at start of both tv and video, cured by back than red button on remote.
v474 + dsh471: tv start and stop ok, but still black screen on video start + image freeze (back plus red button workaround is working to get image, then timeskip backward 15 sec to get rid of image freeze)
v475v1 + dsh471: tv doesn't start with error reading ts file, video sometimes start correctly(fhd) , sometimes crash madvr(uhd)

v475v2 + dsh 471: tv starts and stop, video sometimes start with back screen (fhd) , crash madvr(uhd)
v476 + dsh 471 : TV and video starts correctly. tv stop freezes mp, and sometimes video start (specially with uhd) freezes mp
