Well, I think very different about this, because I know there are some thousands of users out there using PC only without connection to TV or using Tochscreens (yes, those become slowly but surely more and more). I also followed a lot of discussions about that theme and there is definitely a need for mouse support.
And unfortunately it´s not done with buying a remote, you also need a computer which supports at least X10.
I would like to see this really nice skin available and usable for all users

I totally understand what you mean. But to keep a design minimal and sleek (as Maya), removal of everything not needed in remote control use is important. When I look at your skins, it really is too much stuff going on for my taste (no offence) but I can see that using it with touchscreen or mouse would work much better than trying to with Maya.

That's why I suggested to use another skin. I can't use some of the great XBMC skins/functions in MediaPortal, but I have learned to live with it.

Did you know that the movie info panel in movingpictures detail screen can be switched from right to left in realtime? Use left and right button on remote.

Wow, that's very cool. I did notice though that the Now Playing overlay is placed on top of this info, so perhaps that should be
a) removed from the details view or
b) placed under the movie details

Can anybody tell me how to change the xml files to get the mini epg / mini tv guide when viewing fullscreen TV and doing (ACTION_SELECT_ITEM)? Like it works in streamedmp and Aeon and others?

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you want to see the on screen channellist (which is named TVMiniGuide.xml) or the TV Guide (which is named DialogTvGuide.xml) ?

Know what you mean I began porting Alaska to MP, but unfortunately my health situation atm does not allow me continuing that...

Me too. Did you change your batteries recently though? The lights on my remote seem very weak ATM.

Wow, congrats to the team, simple and clear, seems I'll love it

I clicked a bit (with my fine working MCE-remote...), especially in Moving Pictures (I usually don't use MP for anything else) and most things seem to work fine. I'm surprised, but I'm very happy without backdrops in the list-view. It don't like it too coloured.

Just found one little thing:
Movies -> When pressing "info": A left or right move in the sub-windows makes them transparent, i guess they should be closed (?). The back-button works.

Personally I'd like to have the movie-details a little bit wider, may be 1/3 of the screen to minimize scrolling. But I don't want to put your design in question (And possibly such things can be changed by the user...)

Also working on some plugins such as smart playlist (a must have imo) and htpc info.
