Yes,I can.. in attach the log (start mp -> switch basic home -> arrow down -> crash... but as I can see there is no error in it)...

In the meantime i see two other minor problems:

in the miniguide the long titles should be cutted:

this is a known issue..

I already fixed it for 4tr, see issue 61 attached files.
I do also show the next field, couldn't get it to go otherwise and I think it's a nice addition for the mini guide to have instead of leaving it out.

    InfoService should be placed in the plugins/Windows folder. If you have one in your process-folder you should delete it.

    That did it! Thanks.

    Disabling rss feed in infoservice plugin results in a black bar instead of just the background:

    Thanks again for a wonderful skin.[/QUOTE]

    This is on the "TODO" list. One solution we are looking at is using InfoService 1.5 as it has settings for hiding/showing RSS. Another option is to include it in our own plugin.

    For the meantime you can edit the BasicHome.xml and set the black background to <visible>no</visible>.

    I want to thank you for this nice skin :D

    I have found some display issue in CI menu, the button and horizontal lines are smaller than the dialog itself.

    This should be fixed in SVN 168 (as of now). Would be glad if you could test it to see if it's correct (as I don't have a CI myself).

    The reason why we left it out (the second line in the miniguide) is because it looks to cluttered. When you have a decent remote (Harmony one for instance) its a breeze to switch between tv and tv guide and look for upcoming programmes there.

    Sound reasonable enough although I am unsure if you will get it done this way since the listcontrols wrapping is influenced by the positioning of certain text fields.
    Leaving one out (or more accurately moving it off the screen) may result in overlapping as reported. I like the info, it might be to cluttered for some, I can understand that.
    I btw do use a Harmony one :) I think it's just a nice reminder what's on next when I turn on my tv. Redundancy of important info is sometimes good but also a personal preference.

    p.s.
    The missing tv channel state icons are because of an issue with 4TR plugin itself, no skinning issue it seems from 4tr forum posts.

    Mine doesnt get off the Loading Strings on the splash screen. It justs sits there with the harddrive spinning like mad, and using up to 600-700 mb of ram.

    Lol,

    We will have a second look at it. Thanks!

    Thank you so much for NOT including massive fanart. It really clutters up the GUI and decreases readability and performance.
    I hope you will continue to set an example that "style" needs some uncomfortable decisions.

    The faulty horizontal alignments (e.g TV guide group) might be a result of the wrong skin resolution. 720p (nicely upscaling to FullHD) might have been a wiser decision...

    Re: Maya: Beta release 06-02-10

    I'd be happy to design a skin in photoshop sometime, if i had someone to code it. I found it was hard enough getting someone to code my changes/suggestions for the streamedmp nowplaying screen, and that's only 1x xml file =)

    You can always join the Maya Design team if you want. I need someone who has the same design skills and vision about Maya as our team has.

    Thanks!, well I've give the skin a go, and photoshop anything i don't like.
    I already did some changes to the main menu, mostly just emphasizing layout.
    I think vertical centering is good.
    And I also think people read menus from left to right.
    I think it would be more useful to have today & tomorrow for weather.

    See image below:

    ERROR IN MENU EDITOR:

    error.gif

    SUGGESTION FOR INSTALLATION .EXE FILE:

    The installation.exe should modify the MP config xml files to make maya the current skin.

    This is because if maya is not the current skin then the menu editor throws a wobbly when you try to save. Even after you change the active skin, you still have to restart MP configuration till you can save any changes in the menu editor.

    For example:
    I am currently running blue3wide skin
    I run the maya installation
    Now I must run MP config and choose maya skin
    Now I must close MP config to save changes
    Now I must reopen MP config to edit the menus
    Now I must save and reclose MP config for chages to take effect

    SUGGESTION TO RENAME ITEMS IN MENU EDITOR:

    You might want to consider ability to change the display names for modules/submodules in the menu editor. For instance someone might like to change the following;

    My Pictures -> Family Photos
    My Videos -> Home Movies
    Moving Pictures -> Movies
    My Music Videos -> MTV

    etc...

    OTHER IDEAS / SUGGESTIONS TO CONSIDER:

    maya02.jpg

    maya03.jpg

    Having said all the above. The skin is really really good, nice and fast. I really like the menus and sub menus. It's great that you've got a menu editor. I really like the settings menu. I really like the now playing screen. My Music Videos screens look really good too. My TV is great. I do miss having a larger tvguide however like 8 or 10 channels.
